"Of course I remember," she said. "I had to hunt you down all the time. McSnoggenhassen." She paused for a moment, eyebrow arched yet again. "Romanceless for good cause?"

"Eh, never mind," he said, chuckling to himself as they finally got to shore. "There you are Ms. Ashlie. And please, come again." He added the last part with a wink. It was meant as a joke.

"And in the meantime, I'd better go find the owner of the boat rental. I've got a few teeth to pick with him."
