Although she was sure the pat on the head was to comfort her it only served to deepen her embarassment. Jamie was patting her. Her! This wasn't the way things were supposed to be. Bucky chewed on the inside of her cheek with worry. It was only last summer when things started changing, at least for her and things just got odder and odder by the second.
And she was still hot.
Sweat kept random locks of hair against her face and forehead and she was far too preoccupied to remove them.
"I guess so," she said looking at the ground and opening the door rather abruptly and bolting out of the cabin.
