Hogwarts RPG Name: November {Noe} Franze First Year | Brain Twin | MASTAH ASHURRII | Reisdent PokeNerd | Digifangirl Hmph! thought Ashlie and she straightened up in the boat, sitting tall, as if to say Hah! I am comfortable and I can do this you prat, which of course she didn't say out loud because she was a very mature (er... usually) adult. So she merely brushed back a loose curl, tucking it behind her ear and nodded. "I'm perfectly fine," she said a bit sharply, her defenses suddenly rising to full height. She suddenly felt as she did back on the 'beach' where she'd run into Xavier (rather, he had run into her) where the defenses were flying wildly and she was wired. Hmmph. Like he thought he could tell her mood. So what if he was right. She wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of knowing that. "See? Perfectly fine. Fiiiiiiine. I'm not flailing or spazzing or shaking or knocking the boat around." No, nitwit, you're only rapidly talking and gibbering, making a right fool of yourself. Honestly. Calm down! He's not going to bite you.... I should very well hope.... Just in case though, she drew one hand to her neck, clasping it lightly, as though concealing a necklace or something as inconspicious (sp?) as that. Quote: Celestina stopped her pacing and raised a quizzical eyebrow at Jamie. Just what was he talking about? The Alps was a perfectly good place to vacation in. Think of all the cold snow and the extreme....skiing that would surely lead you to your untimely death.
"So," she said crossing her arms in front of her chest then releasing one as she waved her hand in front of herself, her elbow still resting against her ribcage. "This Colorado," she added sounding too casual perhaps. "Does it have bears?"
The Outside. She immediately looked out the window and felt panic rise in her chest. The trees, the grass, the bugs and the microscopic pollen particles all zoomed into her view as if there was nothing else around her but them.
"Outside?" She asked in a weak voice. "Wai--What? Outside?" The brows on Jamie's face knitted down over his dark eyes. Honestly, what was with her and bears? He was starting to think maybe a traumatic experience. Yogi bear had certainly scared him when he was little. After all, a talking bear who steals pic-i-nic baskets? What was not to be scared of? "Well," he said slowly. "I've never been there. But... do the Alps have bears? Maybe in the mountains in Colorado they don't live there?" He finished off, sounding more confused than he'd originally been. Count on Bucky to run circles round him. He glanced up quickly at her weak voice though, spotting the panic in her eyes. His mouth fell open as he tried to think of a way to put it more mildly, that is, to lure her outside without her being afraid. "Well..." he began, looking from her to the window. "I... mean... you know, get used to it and... look around. Maybe we can go get a drink from one of those little buildings... I think there's a little cafe and a small convenience store... we can go get some water... maybe their air conditioners work better!" He nodded energeticly, hair bouncing eagerly, as if the curls wanted the cool drinks as well.
