Chapter 8: When You're Mad - Ne-Yo
Damn, Serena was pretty amazing. I feel like giving Blaise an award of some kind. As I walked up the staircase steps to the Portrait to our Head dorm, something was nagging me at the back of my mind. Was it the fact that I blew off my patrolling job? Psh, no. I've done things like that all my life - and worse too. Okay, yes I'm avoiding the fact that when I pulled away from Serena, I saw Hermione's head where Serena's once was. I almost screamed, but shook my head and Serena was back together again.

As I stepped through the Portrait Hole, Hermione was in her pajamas reading a book on the couch. I went over and sat down right next to her."Eh - Hermione?"

"Draco." She greeted me.

"I'm - I'm sorry I didn't patrol tonight...I was busy-" She interrupted me.

"Busy snogging girls, Draco?" She looked up from her book.

Wait..when did we start using first names?? "How did you -" I asked. And HOW did she know?

"If you can't handle this position, why don't just go and tell McGonnagall you quit!" She shouted at me. We were both on our feet.

"Well that's just what you want, isn't it? To get me out. But no. You can't get rid of me THAT easily, Hermione. Draco Malfoy is NOT a quitter."

"Oh don't try and turn the tables on ME, Draco! Remember that little talk we had? It's very VAGUE to me...Oh yeah! I think you were telling me not to make YOU look bad...Hah, look at yourself! Not being commited Draco could look bad on MY part. And Hermione Jane Granger cannot AFFORD to look BAD before she GRADUATES!!" She yelled at me.

I couldn't help thinking this now and time and place, but she's really cute when she's mad. She crosses her arms and her eyes get fierce.

"WHAT! ARE! YOU! STARING! AT!" She yelled at me. I snickered.

"THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" Hermione stomped her foot.

"I just-" She interrupted me again. God, I let NO ONE get a word past me first.

"You were just bidding me a goodnight. Well, GOODNIGHT!" She pushed past me to retrieve her book and she ran upstairs.

That was the cutest thing ever. Oh God. Why am I thinking that? I am clearly tired and I need to sleep. Yeah, that's it....I hope..
