Here's an idea that can fly: a wacky tabloid newspaper (like the Quibbler). The articles can range from the absurd to the truth, thus adding some humor and a bit more HP cannon to the school RP.

It can be set up as a separate thread in the school RP (unlike the Quill) and have a zany name like "The Dustbin" (just an idea). It can start off small with a handful of creative writers who can write a smattering of sensational stories (and help promote the plot when needed).
