Thanks! Tomorrow is my last exam..math. And since that one's the easiest, here's the next post!

Draco

The instant I heard someone clearing their throat, I spun around. Hopefully no one heard what I’d just told the owl, or I was dead meat; first of all, for being caught talking to an owl, and second of all, being caught doing something nice for someone else.

Don’t ask me what propelled me to give Luna back her textbook that I’d taken and never given back. Maybe it was the way her eyes seemed to dreamily sad. Maybe it was the way Granger looked at me. Maybe it was that I wanted to make her happy. Or maybe it was all three.

Turning around and still holding on to the owl’s leg, I realized it was Granger! I nearly jumped and tried to subtly hide the textbook from view. She walked up to me casually nonetheless.

“What are you up to?” she asked curiously, eyes resting on the textbook that my hands partially concealed.

“Uh…sending a parcel. Why do you care?” I said quickly. I scowled, even though I didn’t feel like doing this to her. I was such a hypocrite.

She glanced at the textbook again. “That wouldn’t be Luna Lovegood’s missing textbook, would it?” Her gaze met mine and I couldn’t look away. She reached for my hand and pulled it away from the book, revealing the cover.

“None of your business,” I snapped, pulling my hand away from hers.

She looked at me, and it seemed as if it were partly in amusement. “You’re an odd one, Draco Malfoy,” she concluded, leaning back and crossing her arms. The mudblood filth shook her head and continued to look at the parcel. A few moments of silence passed. Neither of us moved.

“Will you quit watching me!” I groaned loudly, getting annoyed by the way she just stood there. It was quite intimidating.

She arched her eyebrow, but said nothing. I watched her from the corner of my eye tying a small package onto an owl’s claw, then instructing it to the Burrow. She left without any further recognition of me being there.

Sorry that the post's short, but next post is going to be better, I guarantee it!
