To my two loyal readers. Here is my next post...... I hope you like it; it's a romantic one. The next one is darker, and it deals with Peter. Remember, we left off in Harry's nursery. Camey wanted a baby and Remus suggested that they should be married first.

Chapter 6: Remus's Proposal

Camey turned around to face Remus. "Whoa! Remus are you doing what I think you are doing?"

"Well, yes and no." he replied as he pulled a small box out of his pocket, and Camey gasped. "Don't get too excited," he said, “because it's not an engagement ring."

"Thank goodness!” Camey exclaimed.

Remus looked to her with one eyebrow raised.

“Remus," Camey stated, "we're only nineteen, we don't need to rush into marriage." Camey opened the box and Remus slipped the ring on her left ring finger. It was a small amethyst on a band of silver. "Remus! I thought you said it wasn't an engagement ring!"

"It's not," Remus replied, "It's a promise ring. I got it to signify that even though we are not getting married......yet......we will one day."

The ring was so spectacular, that Camey was left speechless.

Remus felt that he had put Camey into an awkward position, so he tried to fix his mistake. "But...... if.... if.....if you don't want it........ that's ok," he said as he tried to regrasp the ring.

Camey didn't know what to say, that is until Remus tried to take the ring back "Remus Lupin! Don't you dare! You are going to have to kill me, and pry this ring off of my cold dead hands to get it back!"

Remus smiled and chuckled, which calmed Camey. She said," Remus, the ring is beautiful. I love it!"

Camey leaned forward and kissed him. Remus returned the kiss with a much more passionate one.

Ten minutes later Lily, James, Sirius, and Violet entered the nursery. However, Remus and Camey didn't seem to notice.

Lily and Vi started to silently giggle. Meanwhile Sirius stood looking at the couple thinking,"Who in their right mind would want to kiss Moony? Maybe we should take Camey to St. Mungo's." But he was kind enough not to say it out loud.

James's response was the funniest. He shouted, "HEY! No snogging in front of my son! You'll scar him for life!"

Camey and Remus broke apart, and both scowled at James. Then they all snorted with laughter.

Then Lily spotted the ring on Camey's finger. "OH MY GOD!" she screamed. Everyone looked around in concern (thinking she had been attacked).

"Jeeze, Lily, what's the matter?" Camey asked.

"Your-your finger! You have a ring! Did Remus propose?" Lily asked with a huge grin stretched across her face.

No one waited for an answer. Sirius and James grabbed Remus and hoisted him onto their shoulders (like he had just won a quidditch match), and the girls pulled Camey into a hug as they jumped up and down screaming (as girls do).

"Wait!" Camey shouted. "We aren't getting married! For god’s sake, we are only 19! This is just a promise ring!"

James and Sirius dropped Remus to the floor... he landed on his back.

"OW!" he yelled, as he stood.

The room was silent, they all look around, as if unsure of what to say.

Finally Violet spoke up, "Everyone, we better get going, or we're going to be late for the order meeting."

They all agreed and apparated to Dumbledore’s cabin in the woods (Lily with Harry in her arms).
