Chapter 4: Vi's Secret


Sirius was the always the first one up in the morning; he wandered around. They had been there a whole week, and he was so busy cleaning that he hadn't had time to explore James and Lily's new house.

He walked into the nursery, and Harry gurgled with glee. Sirius gently picked him up. "Good morning Harry. Did you sleep well?" Sirius cooded. Sirius spent the next half an hour just talking to his godson.

Violet was lying, asleep in her bed, having a horrible dream about Sirius.

"Your what???? Violet how could you do this? It's ruined my life!" Sirius yelled.

"Oh, Sirius please don't be angry!" Violet pleaded.

"I am not angry! I AM FURIOUS!" Sirius shouted. Violet sank into the corner and started to cry.

Violet jumped up in bed. "How could he say that?" Vi asked herself. "Wait, that wasn't real. It was a dream; a horrible dream."

Violet got out of bed, and went into the bathroom. She got dressed, brushed her teeth, splashed some lukewarm water on her face, and went in search of Sirius.

Vi walked into the nusery. "Well, Well, Well! Looky here! Who would have ever guessed that Sirius Black was such a softy?"

"Oh come on Vi. You know I'm a badboy at heart. I'm just making an exception with my godson," he replied.

Violet exclaimed in pure delight, "Oh Sirius! You are going to be a wonderful father!" Realizing what she had said, Vi clapped her hands over her mouth.

Sirius almost dropped Harry in surprise! He placed Harry carefully in his crib and turned to Violet. "What!?!"

"Ummmm......," Violet replied, "Well, I was going to tell you over a romantic dinner....... but it's too late now...... Sirius, you are going to be a father."

"I..... I..... I'm....." Sirius studdered.

"Please don't say furious!" Vi begged.

"Violet Elizabeth Johnson! What do you mean furious?? I'm ecstatic! I'm going to be a father!" Sirius practically shouted as he pulled Violet into an enormous hug, which lifted her off the ground.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Remus, James, Lily, and Camey sat arguing.

"Camey, seriously! I'm not going to wear my self out by making pancakes!" Lily exclaimed.

"Lily, Vi and I are here to help! That means we do all the work!" Camey retorted.

James pipped up, "Camey, for gods sake! Just let Lily make the pancakes!"

"No! You just don't like my cooking!"

"Well, that's true.... your pancakes suck!" James said honestly.

Shocked Remus replied, "James! That was a horrible thing to say!"

Lily then started yelling at James for being inconsiderate.

"But it's true. Come on Lupin, you have to admit her cooking is horrible!" James retored.

Remus was clearly trying to keep a straight face. "It's not that bad," he said.

"Remus!" Camey yelled, "You-"

In the mist of the yelling, Sirius and Vi came down the stairs.

"Hello! We have an announcement to make!" But no one heard them.

"Hey guys, we have something to say!" Vi tried feebly.

Then Sirius yelled with all his might, "OI!!! MARAUDERS AND FLOWERS LISTEN UP!"

"Geez... Padfoot, you didn't need to shout! What's up?" James asked.

"Well, everyone: Violet's 6 months pregnant! I'm going to be a father!"

The room remained deadly silent.
