Matt was smiling as he listened to the story. Professor Lainey was quite the storyteller. He was wrapped up in that so, when the Ravenclaw girl was suddenly in his lap, he let out a surprised, "Hey!"

Before he could decide whether to push her to the ground or help her up, she scooted off his lap and fell on his feet instead. "You okay?" he asked, holding a hand out to her.
