| Yola! Well, I'm really glad you like it, and thanks! Here is the next part! Chapter four:
Draco Malfoy and his friends, Crabbe and Goyle, had cornered what looked like a fourth year Hufflepuff.
Crabbe and Goyle were looking menacing, punching their palms, and growling, while Draco did the talking. Ellie couldn’t hear what he was saying, but soon the fourth year began too shake.
Draco then nodded towards Crabbe and Goyle. They backed off, and Draco leaned closer and started whispering to the boy, who nodded, and started walking down the hall, away from ellie. Before he turned the corner, he yelled back to Draco,
“It would be easier if you could find someone close to them, or at least in their year.” Then added with a scared look “just a thought.” Draco looked as if he was considering it for a while, then shouted after him
“hey kid, here.” And threw a gallon at the fourth year, who caught it, and pocketed it with a smile.
“What was that about?” ellie thought to herself. Suddenly, Draco went slightly rigged, and looked around. His eyes rested on the vase ellie had hidden behind. She gasped, and stood still, praying he wouldn’t see her. After a few intense moments, with Ellie afraid out of her mind, Draco shook his head, and whispered something to Crabbe and Goyle.
They nodded, and slouched off down the hallway after the Hufflepuf. Draco just stood there for a moment longer, as if waiting for something. Then, with a swish of his cloak, he disappeared.
Ellie carefully stepped into the corridor that had just been abandoned. What on earth had that been about?
She stood exactly were draco had been, her wand held loosely at her side. She heard a movement from behind her, and turned at the exact moment that a voice yelled out.
“EXPELLERIAMUS!”
Ellie’s wand went flying in an arc, straight into Draco’s hand.
He had a strange look on his face, almost like he would have put anyone else into ellie’s position right now, just so that he wouldn’t have to face her.
“What are you doing here?”
He spat, or tried to sound harsh, but he wasn’t accomplishing it.
“Might ask you the same question!”
Ellie retorted. Draco just sighed.
“Listen, Travis, I really don’t want to have to curse you.”
Ellie laughed right into his face.
“Really? From what I’ve heard, you take every chance you have to curse Gryffindor you see, especially if they hang out with Harry. Not to mention Hermione and the Weasleys. Why do you hate them so bad, anyway? Your so mean to everyone, no wonder no one likes you.” Her feeling of connection to him was quickly evaporating.
Draco’s eyes suddenly became hard, and he raised his wand, and since ellie didn’t have hers, she could not deflect the charm.
Ellie’s hands suddenly stuck to her sides, and her legs stuck together as well. She couldn’t move, and unfortunately, she was never very coordinated, and she promptly toppled to the ground.
Draco did look as though he slightly regretted doing it, but stood over her, speaking in an undertone.
“Listen, Travis. I have my own reasons for the way I act, and if you knew what was good for you, you would stay out of my business. You have no idea what my…” he suddenly stopped, eyes wide. Obviously he had been about to say something he shouldn’t.
“What… my… just stay away from me. Next time I’ll do worse!” he dropped her wand, and ran for it.
After a few minutes, the spell wore off. Ellie grabbed her wand, jumped to her feet, and sprinted to the Gryffindor common room, to the girls dorms, where she threw herself onto her bed, sobbing. She didn’t know why, but suddenly it struck her. She didn’t want to be related to him.
He was, well, almost evil! And what everyone had said about his parents, her parents, they were completely evil, they served you-know-who! She soon pulled herself together, and extracted a piece of parchment from a pile by her bed, along with quill and ink.
She started writing a letter to her “mom”. It read, Dear Mother,
How are you? I’m fine, got into Gryffindor, but, I need to ask you something. Why didn’t you tell me that I was, adopted? I mean, I don’t think I’m mad or anything, but why didn’t you? Finding out all of a sudden here was a bit of a shock, on top of being sent to a brand new school. I even have a brother, that I never knew about, and I’ve seen him, and talked to him, well, sort of, and I don’t even think that he knows! Please, just send me a little bit of an explanation! And also, please don’t think that I won’t love you anymore, or something, because that won’t change, I just need to hear something from you. Thanks
Ellie
She folded up the letter, and went down to the common room, were she meet Ron.
“Hey Ron, do you know anyone with an owl I could borrow? See, I don’t have one, and I need to get a letter to my mom as soon as possible.” Ron nodded
“Yeah, Harry’s got an owl, he’d be glad to let you borrow her.”
“Thanks!” ellie said, and started off to where Harry was sitting next to a snowy owl.
“No problem. What’s the letter about?”
“Oh, nothing, just family stuff!” ellie didn’t really want to have to tell anyone about her, family issue quit yet. Harry was happy to let her use Hedwig. Soon ellie had the letter tied securely to her leg, and carried her to the window.
“Travel safe.” She whispered. Hedwig hooted, almost comfortingly, as if to say, “your letter will get there safe.” And then launched herself out the window. Ellie watched until Hedwig became a distant speck in the distance.
Thats all for now! Tootles!
