James looked up from the book when he heard a scream, and then a rush of foot steps. He was sweating and time almsot did not exsist to him, he ahd to keep reading....
Chapter Two
The Artifact and
The Living
When a Tangent Universe occurs, those living
nearest to the Vortex will find themselves at the
Epi-Center of a dangerous new world.
Artifacts provide the first sign that a Tangent
Universe has occured.
If an Artifact occurs, the Living will retrieve it with
great intrest and curiosity. Artifacts are formed from
magic, metal and water, creating a defensive weapon
of great power, the only defence against the darkness
of the black holes.
James grabbed his head in pain remembering something he had forgotten many years ago.... He was running through a forest, he was young, he wasn't sure how old he was, at least six. He stopped out of breath, he looked up into the sky to see something falling towards him as if n slow motion. "James, over here." Fred The Frog was standing with his hands out. James quickly ran to him and grabbed his hand, half a second later a metal object landed right where he had been standing. If he hadn't moved the huge chunk of metal would have crushed him. James held on tightly to Fred as he shielded him from the impact. James pulled himself away from Fred and looked to whatever it was that had fallen. There was a large red 'F' with a circle around it. James walked to it as if mesmerized. He reached his hand out and touched it, he jerked his hand back in pain as it had burned him. The huge metal object began to turn green and then blue, then, it exploded.
James flew backwards in his chair and hit his head hard on the floor. He looked to his hand to see that it had been burned. He quickly got up and looked around. "It's...inside me..." James whispered.
