Post Rowling to write introduction for Chancellor's book

The Scotsman reports that J.K.Rowling is one of a collection of famous people who will write introductions for Gordon Brown's [Chancellor of the Exchequer] two books. The books, which will centre around the thinking behind his politics, will also be published by Bloomsbury, the same company who publish the Harry Potter novels in Britain.

Other people writing for Gordon Brown include Nelson Mandela, former US Vice-President Al Gore and Chief Rabbi Jonathon Sacks.

The Guardian adds that, "The royalties will go to the Jennifer Brown Research Laboratory, set up by Mr Brown and his wife Sarah after the death of their daughter in 2002."

The books will be released in September on the first day of the Labour Party Conference.
