Chapter 3: Awkward Feelings and Confessions
Ron and Hermione didn’t speak to each other the entire way home from the lake. It’s not that both of them didn’t enjoy the kiss per say its that Hermione didn’t think Ron knew that she was conscious. ‘But honestly,’ Hermione thought to herself, ‘he can’t be that daft.’
Of course as we all know...well...Ron is. He thought that she was unconscious and that she didn’t know he ‘kissed’ her back. When they got to the porch, Hermione broke the awkward silence.
“Ron. Umm...er...thanks, for saving me back there. I know it was stupid of me to get my foot caught-“
“Hermione its ok, really, no big deal. I just want to shower and use the phellytone-“
“Telephone Ronald.”
Ron started to blush “Right. Er...see you at dinner?”
As they headed inside Hermione started to say something.
“Ron. I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to rent some movies and we could get candy and order pizza.” Hermione was hoping he would say...
“Sure, let me just shower and stuff and we can go.” Ron headed up the stairs; it was the perfect time for Hermione to clear her head. Hermione plopped down onto the couch and started to think. Naturally, the only boyfriend Hermione ever had was Viktor, if you could even call him one. She had no clue what to do now. ‘Duh! Why Didn’t I think of that before!’ She thought to herself happily and she got up to use the ‘fellytone’ ‘Oh Ron...’ she thought to herself. She dialed a number….
~*Back at the Borough*~
BRRRRRRRING BRRRRRRRRRRRRING!
In the burrow, it was hot. Not only over heatedly hot, but hot and heavy, a major snogging session was under way between one Mister Harry Potter and another Miss Ginny Weasley.
BRRRRRRRRING BRRRRRRRRRRRRRING!
Finally hearing the phone ringing, Ginny unwrapped herself from Harry's arm and whispered in his ear phone.
And he retorts sarcastically “Thanks Ginny, so you’re gonna abandon your boyfriend for the telephone?”
“Don’t get your wand in a knot, What if its Hermione calling about Ron problems? Huh! Do you wanna hear them bicker
all year” she said, putting an emphasis on the words all year.
“Fine, but hurry up!”
BRRRRRRRING BRRRRRRRRRRING!
“I’m commin I'm coming!” she picked up the phone
“Hello?” and she was right.
“Hey Ginny, its Hermione, I need tot talk to you.”
“Ok, so what did Ronnikins do this time?”
“Well…it’s more like what I did per say, I kissed him” she whispered into the phone.
“YOU WHAT?! I’m sorry; could you say that a little louder please, I don’t think I quite heard you?”
“I KISSED RONALD BILLUS WEASLEY AND I LOVED IT!!!” Hermione said, a little too loudly to her liking.
“Awww Hermy kissed Ronnie! So what did he say?” Ginny asked;
Hermione froze. She was pretending to be unconscious when she did it. She mentally cursed herself for doing something so stupid. Little did she know, Ron walked out of the bathroom and heard her ‘outburst.’ He wanted to know what else she was saying, so he stayed.
“I...I umm pretended I was unconscious. Hah isn’t that funny Ginny?!” Hermione said with forced laughter.
“Hermione Granger you’re going to tell him before I reach through the phone and ring you neck.”
“Ok, I get it but…how?”
“Well, how did Harry tell me? Bluntly but it worked for me! Well I don’t know Hermione… why don’t u guys go on a trip or something, Harry and I could come with.”
“OMG GINNY YOU’RE A GENIOUS!!!I know exactly where were gonna go! Pack your bags, because were leaving in two days!” Ron ran straight towards his room so Hermione couldn’t see him. Suddenly, Ron had an idea….
