Princess Thea slowly woke up to find herself, warm, laying on a soft bed and in no pain.
Everything was very fuzzy, the last thing she remembered was Caleb taking the love out of her, all she could remember was the horrible pain of it all. After that she had fainted, at least she thought she had fainted. She looked around to find that she was in the hospital wing at school. She sat up a bit and gave a soundless groan for her mouth was hurting very badly. The stirring brought Madam Pomfrey the school nurse and Jack rushing to her bed.
Jack!” Princess Thea tried to exclaim but to her amazement no sound came out. She looked panicked at Madam Pomfrey.
“Don’t worry dear, your voice will come back soon, after all you have been through it just needs some time to heal.” Madam Pomfrey looked satisfied with what she saw and left Jack alone with Princess Thea admonishing him not to overtire her patient.
“Thea!” Jack said when they were alone. “I’ve been so worried about you!” and he bent down and gave her a kiss.
Princess Thea looked up at him and smiled and she mouthed the words “what happened?”
Jack settled himself on the bed and began to speak “Well after we found you half dead at the mercy of Caleb, we brought you back here and Madam Pomfrey got right to work. Apparently, putting emotions in is not as easy as taking them out. They have to put one emotion in a week, so that your body can get use to the emotion and not reject it.” Jack stopped when he saw the confusion in Princess Thea’s eyes.
“Where is my wand?” She mouthed
Jack gave it to her and she was able to make words come out of the wand. “How long have I been in here? “ The words said
“A month and a half actually. Christmas is a few weeks away. They just put love back in you yesterday. That being the last emotion they could let you wake up.” Jack said smiling softly down at her, his green eyes filled with love. “Thea, I have just got to tell you something.”
“What?” again the words in the air
“I love you.”
Princess Thea’s eyes got wide and tears started to flow down them, but she was turning orange.
“What’s the matter?” He asked wiping the tears from her eyes.
She shook her head and words came out of her wand again. “I love you too, but I wanted to say it, not for you to read it.”
“I know how you feel.”
Princess Thea looked at him curiously
“How they got the love back in you, you see in order for emotions to be but back, they have to trigger the small part of them that was left behind. And for love they mentioned my name first, you turned orange and they were able to put the emotion back in.”
Princess Thea was about to start crying again when Madam Pomfrey came back and shooed Jack away. “She need to rest, everyone will be able to come in tomorrow.” She said pushing Jack toward the door. Jack just ginned and waved at Princess Thea who smiled back.
Then she laid down and went back to sleep with the song L.O.V.E. running through her head.
