Mattio knew that his shrinking Rhubarb required some quick saving, so he dumped nearly have of his pitcher of water on it, and to his delight, it turned a deep red color, not too far away from the goal of deep purple. Unfortunately, the high powered lumos spell did leave permanent damage, as not all of the plant turned to deep red. There were still small green polka dots scattered upon its stalk. Still satisfied, Mattio tweaked the amounts of water and soil, and even risked performing another Lumos spell, until he could no longer improve the appearance of the plant. He could not entirely get rid of the polka dots in the end, but did manage to turn them blue, which did not stand out too much against the rest of the deep purple. He was fairly pleased and thought that the Proffessor would find his work acceptable.
