Heather gave a small laugh. "No. No, it's true. I really could use a little more practice. Maybe she could be my next favorite dancing partner." Mhm. She didn't mind. However, she was nervous. They way he talked about Astoria it sounded like they were close. She didn't want to trespass on their time together. "However, if it was something you two had planned to do together, by all means, don't let me intrude."

Heather laughed at Jasper's little cooing at the crups and she shook her head rolling her eyes. She could only imagine what he would be like had the animal been a child. "I think you should get a kneazle. They're kinda like cats in a way." She looked at the and shook her head. "I think I'll get a pygmy puff. Yes, a pygmy puff." The little ball of adorableness would be the perfect small cuddling buddy.

Destiny was offended. OFFENDED with all capital letters. And for the first time since moving over to the cutest Crups she had ever seen, she turned around to show Carter just how offended she was. She narrowed her eyes at him and was just about to open her mouth to say something, something along the lines of how, if he didn't want her breaking into the cages, he should just let her adopt them all, but luckily, for him, at that moment, one of the little dogs came over to the cage began to nip at her fingers.

How cute was he!? Or she? She wasn't about to get closer to find out.

And since her husband obviously didn't hear her the first time, Destiny settled down so that she was sitting in front of all the Crups and decided to try again. How was he saying no to her whining!? "But Carterrrrrrr!" Why? "Can I get two different animals then?"

She thought that was more than fair.

"Well, if you'd like to go as a third, I'll have to ask Ria. But, you know anyone can attend. It's not only for experienced dancers." He just wanted to be clear. Just in case she thought that. "Yeah, but how smart are they? I don't want it reading my diary or anything." Was he serious? "And you're not about to become one of those witches that colour charms her pygmy puff and carries it around with her everywhere she goes, are you?" He looked a bit ...unnaturally worried over the idea, but he was joshing. Heather didn't seem the type to try and twist another living thing far from it's organic state. He knew from experience.

"You know, I can't believe I've never asked you, but what astrological sign were you born under?" She was far too kind to be Leo.

"No. No," Heather said shaking her head laughing. "It's not like that. It's just, if you two are going I'd really rather not be a third wheel, ya know?" She wasn't comfortable being one of those people who couldn't get the inside jokes or felt a little out of the loop. "Maybe another time." Not that she didn't want to meet Astoria, she just didn't want to feel...left out? That sounded like how she felt.

She winked, "Oh, you know it. It'll be purple and pink and green and yellow and orange all with in the same hour." Of course she was only joking. She wanted a pink on though. A brighter color to light up the room. "I don't think they're too terribly intelligent though. Maybe they are. I don't really honestly know. Mom adoptive mother was allergic to fur so I couldn't have anything fluffy." She was rambling. Go figure.

"Pisces." Heather smiled at Jasper. "As much as I love being a dove, I am a fish at heart." She shifted a little and chewed on her lip. Dove. That word still meant the world to her. She had even began to practice her patronous a bit. "And yourself? What might you be?"

... that was not a good look. Carter was in trouble, wasn't he? Thiswasn'tgood.

But he needed to stand his ground, right? Right. He couldn't even keep track of what they currently had.

Oh. Andtherewasthewhiningagain.

"It depends on what you want."

SWEETMERLIN. He just gave in, didn't he?

She would throw a tantrum.

A tantrum so tantrumey, it would make any two year old jealous. Destiny had no idea what had gotten into Carter, not that she wasn't impressed by it, because she was, but he had never taken this long to cave into her before. She even did the angry eyes thing to him! That should've worked right away.

She was just about to turn back towards him and give him the biggest pout he had ever seen when.. he did it. He caved! And she was kind of upset with herself that she didn't try to get three pets out of it. Connor was almost three months old. Couldn't he fill out an application? No. Okay. Fine. Two pets it was then.

Destiny jumped up from off the ground, forgetting about the Crups almost immediately and moved back over to Carter. She wrapped her arm around his waist and placed her free hand on the stroller as a hint to get him to start walking. Right towards the animal she had been trying to get him to let her have for MONTHS. "I want a Kneazle." Since both the felines she had at home were cats. "And I've never had a toad before."

After Kace's decision on the snow owl, he noticed the pygmy puffs and he thought they were adorable. He held his mom's hand and lead her to the observation den. "Kace where am i going??" his mom asked.

"I just want to see the pygmy puffs!" he said while running. "Geez i should have let your father take you instead." she thought aloud. Kace shrugged and then made it and saw them. The little puff balls all talking and moving. He smiled and held his hand out to try and touch them. One little red one was looking at him with beady eyes and using the puppy dog begging look.

"Awwww mom look at him/her." he said feeling his heart getting all broken like. "I think we should adopt it." he said rethinking his decision.

"Alright sweetie make your decision between a Snow Owl or pygmy puff." his mother said stern. "We haven't got all day, we have your grandmother's birthday to get back to" she said.

"Oh right!" he said forgetting about it. "I think i rather have a pygmy puff because they are little and cuddly. I want something to cuddle with." he said making his mind.

"Alright let's go to the Adoption Table and tell them." she said taking his hand so he wouldn't make any detours.

He wanted to argue her point about not joining them and being a third wheel but by the time he'd thought of insisting that she'd not be a third wheel, Heather seemed to have given the last word on it. Just as well. He told Ria everything and how embarrassing would that be FOR EVERYONE?!

"Are you? Well that's interesting. I should've guessed that, actually. I must be off my game." She was doing that lip thing again and he was doing that thing where he tries to ignore it. "Pisces as well."

"You seem happier somehow, Heather?" But it was indeed more of a question than an observation or a statement. And, his curiosity was all about wondering why, he did not for sake save face, dare to ask out loud.

"Really?!" Heather didn't know what to think. They shared yet another personal and deep thing in common.

She just wouldn't stop chewing on her lip. "I am," she said finally releasing the lower lip. "I forgot what it was like to feel. Now, it's all I can do. It was so overwhelming at first but I adjusted." Her reason why she had begun to feel again worried her a bit.

Her teeth found her lip again and she just stared at the pygmy puffs. She sighed and closed her eyes. "I need someone or something to share it with. I'm not used to having all this emotion built up and with the walls I built around me I have no one to share them with." She wasn't particularly close with anybody and the person she longed to be close with wasn't anywhere to be found.

Her hand twitched as if to reach out to Jasper, but she forced herself to place it in her pocket instead.

Her excitement over finding out this tidbit made him feel likewise excitement. He had tried to suppress it earlier with only the faintest acknowledgement, but something about sharing this much with her reignited his fever. He wondered if they had been born on the same day but decided he would reserve finding out such details for a time when he would fancy being quite shocked about something. Though, would he really be all too shocked after all of the other various ways they seemed to be connected?

She was happy. That was good. Heather needed that. With everything that had been going on with her daughter, she needed that. "You look happier." Was all he said with a smile.

His smile, though, died down gradually at the next thing that was said. He had thought that he might've been relieved to hear that Heather hadn't found someone to spend her excess time with. He wasn't. Plainly, it did not please her and if he was anything, if even only friend, it didn't please him either. Heather had wanted that, in was clear, instead she seemed needlessly alone. But it was nothing he had any armory to fight her on. She could throw it all back at him and it would only be too easily done. Not missing the twitch of her hand, Jasper mimicked by placing his own hands into his own pockets and with a gentle swinging of his elbow, lightly tapped against hers. "Let's go and fill out an application, h'mm?"

Now, Jory was one of those students who missed Hogwarts terribly so seeing familiar faces pleased him very much. He grinned at Romanos, his thoughts journeying back to a few of her lessons. He always enjoyed the yoga even though he could sometimes be rubbish at it. "It's great to see you too, Professor. So how are you?'' Do you miss having me in your classes? Of course he didn't ask that one out loud. Hehe.

Jory turned to Elwood. The subject she taught had been one of his favourites though he was not entirely sure how he excelled at it. It had been one of those he thought he would have done poorly at. "Great to see you too, Professor.'' Oh she had been away? "Did you have a great time there? So, you didn't get to have the usual amount of classes then?'' It was a good thing she didn't decide to go to Africa during his seventh year. He wasn't sure he'd like to be without his Divination classes. Or worse someone else filling in for her. Yep. Jory turned his attention to the kneazle. "I think that might be Ronnie's choice, too. I might get a crup...'' Which brought back the question, would he have enough time to spend with the creature? Hmmm.

Ascanius liked kittens. Y'know the manly kind that curled up next to you 'round the fire and purred when you scratched them behind the ears. S'nothing too girly, he just liked the raw, testosterone that pulsed through a real man around kittens. Ahem.

And since kneazles were the closest things to kittens Ascanius could find he'd just sit here and admire them. Them and their adorable, squishable, manly faces, yeah?

Mackenzie walked up to the observation area and was immediately in a totally different mood than she had been all day. How could she not be.. PYGMY PUFFS she grinned as she looked at a pink ball of fluff, if you looked carefully you would have sworn that the puff was smiling back at the blonde. From that moment Mack decided that she really needed one.. and proceeded to the adoption table.

Mm. Wife!loves. Carter liked those. A lot.

The pushing not so much.

A kneazle. "Do we not already have one?" Or did they have normal cats? He didn't even know the difference. Was there one? There must have been otherwise they'd all be called cats. But they weren't.

Oh. Wait. She was still talking. He blinked. A toad. "We're not keeping it in the house." Because they had a baby. And kids stuck things in their mouths. He did not approve of feeding Connor pet toads.

Ronnie felt the excitement building up inside her as they walked about the adoption fair. She really wanted to adopt another pet. She was just crazy about animals. Turning to her boyfriend as he spoke, she nodded. "Well, I mean, if you don't think we should then that's fine. It's up to you, but I'd be interested." she told him with a shrug. Ronnie really didn't quite care. Whatever made Jory happy made her happy.

"You're no help at all,'' Jory said teasingly. But seriously, he needed to consider this. He and Ronnie were both out almost everyday and sometimes one would return home later than usual. Decisions, decisions. "What about you, Rons? Don't you want to get one?'' A kneazle, maybe? So his crup could entertain itself when they were away. If he got one.

He eyed the crups. People left their pets all the time home, right? Hmmm. that idea was a start to making a decision.

Ronnie laughed, rolling her eyes. "Well, neither are you!" she said, poking his nose and sticking her tongue out at him. Giggling, she then took his hand and held it in hers as she glanced around herself. "They're all so cute, aren't they? I think I'd want a Kneazle." she told him with a smile as she eyed the Kneazles.

Did they already have a kneazle, pfft.

Destiny made a little mental note to sit Carter down later, later because she didn't want to embarrass him in front of all the people around, and have the differences between a cat and a kneazle talk. Like he didn't know Sly wasn't a kneazle already. The cat ate shoelaces. Still! Definitely not a kneazle. "So, if we have a kneazle, I couldn't get another one?" She was preparing herself. Preparing herself to ready the whining and the pouting.

Then, when she was sure she made him feel bad for telling her no, she would then tell him they had no kneazles and she'd be able to get one. Because it would be funny.

As for the toad, the toad she wasn't even sure she wanted just yet because she didn't have a chance to even look at them, she shrugged her shoulders and continued to puuuuush him towards the animals. Why was he so slow? "It can stay in the pond." With the plimpies. And the turtles. "But we'll have to make an extra special house for it so it doesn't get cold in the winter." It would be easier to keep it inside.

That. Was. One. Of. The. Cutest. Kitties. Ever.

How Callie wasn't taking it already was beyond her. Goodness knows, she would have ended up going home with a new pet if she'd come here alone.

"I'm doing vonderful, thank you." she smiled and nodded towards the young man. No huge life threatening events last term where she was useless, so, all was good. "I'm sure you heard about your school's fantastic vin this last term. Vould haff been lovely to haff everyone there to see it. Certainly miss haffing you in classes."

Oh? The kneazle had been claimed! Sorta.

"Sounds like you haff some competition, Callie." Hehe. Nudge nudge.

"Do we have a kneazle?" Carter asked in response. Because he felt that was an important part of the decision making process. For example, if they did have one, which one was it? If it was the one that ate shoelaces, they definitely weren't going to get another. Otherwise, it was debatable.

Whoa. Wife. What was with the pushing? He tugged on the stroller just to make sure they didn't lose their baby.

"Wait. Why do we need to buy a toad? Can't we just catch one?"

Eeesh. If he wanted to know that badly..

"No. No we do not have any kneazles." Destiny turned her face towards her husband to give him a HUGE GRIN before pulling him once more, until they were standing right in front of the cutest kneazles she had ever seen. Actually, all of the animals were the cutest she had ever seen. Why were they so cute? Why hadn't she talked Carter into letting her have three of them!? Why wasn't she showing Connor these animals!? "We don't have a kneazle yet."

Because Connor hadn't picked one out yet, that's why. She moved herself over to the stroller, and picking her son up, she sat herself down on the ground right in front of the kneazle cage. She did glance at Carter, to let him know that they had to get one now, since Connor saw them, before turning back to the animals and making Connor point at them.

She was going to let him pick out which kneazle to get. Buuuuut she was going to help a little.

"We're not going to catch a toad." Connor made some kind of weird baby!talk, as if he agreed. "We can't take a toad from it's swamp home. That would be wrong." So, they would rescue one from it's cage at the adoption fair. "We could go catch an emu, though."

Since there wasn't any of those to adopt.

Oh. Carter was in trouble. Destiny was showing Connor the animals. Now they were going to get a kneazle. Destiny was going to say now that the baby has seen the not!cats, they just had to get one. And, as much as Carter knew that Connor probably had no idea what was going on, he couldn't deny the thought of not letting his baby boy have a kneazle that he picked out.

... so... they were getting one.

And they didn't have one. Good. So... ... yeah. There was that.

"What would we do with an emu?" And why did he suddenly want to try catching one.

Oh.. well.. that was actually a really good question.

And Destiny hadn't thought that far to give Carter an answer. She had been expecting him to say no, because it seemed like he said no to every animal she wanted to bring home. Like a giraffe, for example. But since he hadn't said no.. yet, did that mean they could really get an emu?

She shifted Connor a bit so that he was sitting on her lap instead, but he was still able to gurgle and laugh at the kneazles in the cage, before looking over her shoulder once more at Carter. Yeah, she still didn't have a good answer for him.

"We could keep it in the yard? Or the stables. With the horses. Can we get a pony for Connor?"

No. She was pouting now. Kurumi looked sad. Not SAD sad but, well, pouty-sad. This wasn't fair.

Lewis reached for Kurumi's hand again and started playing with her fingers absently, his eyes following the movement. Did he not want a crup? "No, I just...do we have enough room?" No, that didn't really answer Kurumi's question but that was the most prominent thought on his mind right now. They already had TWO cats and their apartment wasn't that big to begin with. And honestly, it wasn't like their family size would be shrinking any time soon.

Vanilla still had a couple of years. Hopefully. No, she absolutely did. He shouldn't even be THINKING about that.

His eyes flicked back over to the crups when Kurumi pointed out one of them. A particularly yappy one. Yes, of course they were cute. Lewis even took another step closer to get a closer look. "...I'm pretty sure they're happy to see you." Because honestly, who wouldn't be. Not that that settled their discussion on getting a crup of course. Nonetheless, Lewis lifted his gaze again to smile at Kurumi.

It was hard to keep pouting when he played with her fingers like that, so it was only a matter of moments before her lips softened and even curled up into a smile as she took a step towards him again. "No, you're probably right," she sighed. She DID still miss having a dog though.

Walnut probably wouldn't appreciate another creature entering the home anyway. The transition with Vanilla had been hard enough on the feline. Now the two got along, more like tolerated one another most of the time, so adding a crup to the mix in such a confined space. Sigh. Yes, Lewis was right. He was usually right.

Her cheeks flushed as she held the crup even closer to Lewis' face, allowing it to lick his nose. "He likes you," she laughed softly, letting the little guy get a few more good licks and attempted licks in before putting him back down. Her hand went back to Lewis', lacing their fingers together and leaning her head against his shoulder while she watched the crups play with one another. "There is...a lot of other things we should be focusing on now instead of a new addition," she sighed. Okay, no crup today. Maybe once Lewis finished his last year of study and after she finished her last year of work study. Which...brought up something that they still hadn't decided on. "We still haven't picked a date," she said, more thinking out loud than it being an actual statement.
