Hogwarts RPG Name: Adrienne Rebecca Colbert Seventh Year | The Last of Her Kind Adrienne sauntered, alone, up to the adoption table, having left Maman cooing at the pygmy puffs. She paid next to no attention to the people crowding around- Ugh, she was practically drowning in soon-to-be first years. It was impossible to believe that that had been her, only two years ago. They were so tiny and innocent-looking. She couldn't stand them. She elbowed her way past a firstie (MysteriesOfFate) to get to the pile of adoption forms, then backed off for a moment to grab a pen and fill one out.
...what best describes your personality? Why would they need to know that? Adrienne shrugged and finished filling out the application anyway, then pushed it across the table in the general direction of a volunteer. "I'd like to adopt a pet, please," she said coldly, ignoring the fact that they were probably already in the middle of helping another person. There, she'd done what she had to, could she take something cute and go now?

"Have you visited with any of our pets yet?" Sophie was only vaguely aware she was being spoken to. She looked up with a surprised expression then looked behind her as if she thought maybe someone over her shoulder was the one this comment was meant for. Nope. Just her. She turned back to the woman. "I...um. No?" she said. Good one, Sophie. She cleared her throat. "I'd like to fill out an application, though." Did she have to keep her new pet, or could it just visit for a while? She looked behind her shoulder in case her mom was standing nearby. She hadn't technically asked for a new pet.
No one had said yes. No one had said NO, though, either.

Her other hand was on her hip and she didn't look too impressed. She couldn't stand rude people, that is not the way her father raised her.

| Am I supposed to put Volunteer? There's some good in this world and it's worth fighting for| LOTR|Whovian|Sherlock Fan Alyssa looked around before heading to the adoption table and picked up an application form. Quickly filling it up, she glanced around to see where her young cousin had disappeared to.
Madison had been way beyond excited when she heard that Alyssa was going to accompany her to the animal rescue to help her adopt an animal. All the way to the Rescue Sanctuary, Madison had been discussing with her which animal she should adopt. An Owl or a Kneazle?
Madison already a Max, a Newfoundland back home and was disappointed that she couldn't bring him to Hogwarts. So Alyssa reasoned with her and told her that she could maybe either adopt an Owl or Kneazle here.
She smiled at the person tending the application table and handed the application form over to them, " Hello I'm really glad that you are adopting out your animals. At least they will now have new homes to go to. My cousin wants to adopt one today. Don't you, Madison," Alyssa turned to ask Madison who had finally caught up with her. Madison looked up and quickly nodded. "Oh yes, I want to adopt an animal today. Actually I would like to adopt two. Can I? Can I?" she asked excitedly as she peered up at the volunteer.
"Can I adopt both an Owl and a Kneazle? I promise that I'll take good care of both of them." Madison asked politely.
"I know I'll need an Owl to help me send mail back to my family and to get stuff from them, but I can't cuddle up to it at night, like I do with Max. I know I can do that with a Kneazle. I'll be able to play with it, it can follow me around and be my companion." she told the volunteer hoping that by giving her reasons, she'd be able to leave the rescue with two animals instead of one.
Madison waited patiently and expectantly as she waited for the volunteer to process her application.

She turned around sharply and an incredulous look grew on her face as she saw the girl who'd been trying to get her attention. At her comment, Adrienne's eyebrow rose nearly to her hairline. "Excuse me, but do I look like I care?" she mocked, crossing her arms tightly over her plaid shirt and leaning her weight on her hip. She was a third year now, and she would no longer be suffering annoyance silently, especially from some chick who couldn't be older than second year. Adrienne narrowed her eyes slightly and looked down on the girl (who she was only taller than by maybe half an inch) to the best of her ability.

Application still in hand, she hurried over to Archer to be assisted. One application down.. a couple.. more to go..
Archer smiled at the woman as he took the piece of parchment from out of her hand, and reading it over, quite a few times, just to make sure he had everything he needed to know, he held up a finger towards her before disappearing into one of the creature observations. It may have taken him a good few minutes to decide, but he wanted to make sure he found the PERFECT pet for her, and that is exactly what he came back with.
He held out the carrier that held the Puffskein out towards her, so she could decide if he had done a good job. Which he had. He just knew it! "This little critter is named Jolie." Archer waited, very patiently for the man to finish, and just like he had done with the other applications he received, once the parchment was in his hand, he read over all the information a few times. He did, however, tear his eyes from off the form a few times during his reading process, to help him decide which pet was right for her. He was just in the middle of re-reading the form for the fourth time when he realized.. "We have just the pet for you!" Of course they did. He placed the form into the pile with all the other completed ones, and after a quick visit in the toad observation, he was back at the table.
He handed the girl the carrier that held her new pet. "That is Timothy. He was rescued when a magical fire burnt down the swamp he lived in." Sad? Very. Quote:

He took the parchment off the boy and only needed to read over this particular application once to know exactly what he.. or they, since it was a joint adoption, should have. "A Kneazle would be perfect, I think." Right? Right. He looked over at the boy, but not waiting to hear if he was correct or not, he disappeared into the Kneazle pens. And once in there, it took him longer to decide on which Kneazle to pick rather than which pet was best for them. Finally, though, he found her. "Freya!" That was the Kneazle's name. "She loves attention. Which is great since this is a joint adoption. No need to worry about her liking someone more than the other." Archer gave the feline a quick scratch under the chin before handing the carrier over to the boy. Quote:

Adi laughed. "I'm not a fan of bats, Mister. They're scary.'' Yep. Unless they were dead. And hadn't he handed over that application yet? He looked down at his hands. Oh! Nope, he hadn't. Blair wasn't sure what kind of pet she would like. She had only ever had goldfish, she decided she would like something she could actually play with and cuddle. Someone to keep her company.

"What can I do for you?" Dax looked up at the hand being raised and the order to calm down. "I'm calm! Honest!" Was that a rule for getting a pet?? He could be calm! The boy shot up from his leaning position on the table, now perfectly upright. See? Calm.
He twisted slightly, trying to see his sister through the crowd. Soheir's little heart-shaped mouth turned up at the corner in a smirk-like effort to hide her eagerness for finding out what type of pet she could potentially walk away with. Hopefully, it was something that was kind of clean. What if it was nothing at all? The wizard held up his finger and that thought ran through her head while he went and fetched something. What if Cutty had done something so dreadful in his Care of Magical Creatures class that it landed their household on some sort of permanent ban from keeping any creatures? Well, he wasn't too old for a spanking charm.
When the wizard returned he was carrying a small carrier of sorts which held a pouf. A little living pouf! The witch let out a little squeal which probably looked silly on someone her age...and wearing that much make up. "Ohh, Hello Jolie. Hello." She greeted the little creature taking his carrier gently. "She's very beautiful. She looks like my powder poufs. I've never owned a Puffskein before. Has she had all of her health needs looked at already?" Like vaccinations and any permanent charms she might need. "And what do I owe you for the adoption fees?"

Hogwarts RPG Name: Leah Abbott Fifth Year | please don't let me be miunderstood Leah groaned at the long line in front of her. She and her mother had finished looking around at the pets and soon reached the Adoption Table. She was seriously considering to go in front of people just like the older teenage girl but from the disapproving look her mum gave that girl it was best not to.
This was Leah's first time in such a big fair and her biggest worry was getting lost in the crowd. She filled out the application form on top of the table whole-heartedly and stood in line patiently, waiting for her turn. Quote:

That is no way to treat someone, and certainly no way to earn house point when you get to Hogwarts, your house should be ashamed." Maybe this is why she never really had friends other than the boarders who came and went from her home. She cared about everyone and wanted people to learn that rudeness would not be tolerated, a bit of mischief is okay, she got into it every now and then, too, but just downright rude people needed to be told. Blair thought hard but she was still unsure, "To be honest with you I'm not entirely certain. I would be happy with any animal considering I haven't had a pet in so long." She giggled. "What about yourself, do you have a pet in mind?"

''Exactly!'' Adi said. Here was someone who understood him very well when it came to toads. "I actually had decided to get an owl before I went back to Hogwarts but I'm glad I saw the toads instead.'' Such fascinating, misunderstood creatures.
So a toad it was? Awesomeee! Adi excitedly took the carrier and peeked in to see his new friend staring up at him with enormous eyes. "Hello, Gus!'' Oh his very own pet! He was most pleased. "Thank you, Mister!'' the boy told the man as Gus croaked away.

| Dalliesa | Ab-Bot | Hogwarts Trojan War | Cliodna's hair was cascading down and reaching the bottom of her back. It was one of those days when she didn't have to pull it up into a ponytail for a ballet piece or exercise. The sun had given her skin a darker shade over the few weeks into summer, all thanks to her routine swimming in the lake back home. And most importantly, she could feel herself growing significantly taller.
Today, she left her tiny pets back home with her grandmother and little sister, it was getting harder to keep pygmy puffs and sugar gliders in your hair. They shedded, they nibbled on the hairs, and were just icky in general. It was weird that a year ago, she didn't mind getting dirty for them, but now being seen with unclean hair just horrified her.
With a smile, Cleo approached the table and snagged one of the applications to fill out. |

Maybe this is why she never really had friends other than the boarders who came and went from her home. She cared about everyone and wanted people to learn that rudeness would not be tolerated, a bit of mischief is okay, she got into it every now and then, too, but just downright rude people needed to be told. Adrienne's other eyebrow joined the first one at the top of her forehead, and she allowed herself an incredulous laugh before looking at the girl in disbelief. "I'm going to apologise? I think not," she said, continuing to marvel at the audacity of this kid, who had to know who was older, still trying to get Adrienne to apologise for just making her way to the front of the group of people crowding around the adoption table. Merlin, she just wanted a kneazle or something to keep her company at school! Why did people have to get all uppity about things? It's not like anyone was hurt. "Look, I'm going to be a third year, I think I'd know a little better than you," she said, her lip curling slightly, "about what gets you House points." If it turned out this girl was actually older than her, that would be incredibly awkward, but she doubted it. She was tall, but her face was rather young-looking. Adrienne made a mental note to find out what year she was in when they got to school.

| Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna Ben was looking forward to the fair. He had already made the decision to see about getting a pet for this term and the news of pet event had certainly got his attention. Made things a little easier with having the animals all in one place so he could see what was being offered and try to find the perfect one for him. If that was even really possible. There were so many choices after all, even if some were limited to just staying at home while others could come to Hogwarts with him.
That had been something his parents had made him aware of...the limits for Hogwarts. An owl, toad or cat. Well he wasn't going to limit himself, just see what came up and work from there. And that was what his decision was when he approached the adoption table, his mother standing a few feet away to be there if needed but not be on top of him. "Hi..." he said, placing down his completed application. "I was thinking about adopting."

"I think you THINK you know better than I..." she said, her voice raising a little in tone. "But that doesn't excuse you form not being a decent human being. Wizards and witches already have a bad rep in the muggle world, why make it worse for ourselves?" she began tapping her foot. She didn't often act in such a way, but just because this girl was older than her didn't mean she could push Hawthorne around. She would NOT have bullies in her life, it's stand up or be kicked down.

He handed one to Heather and took up one of the provided quills and began to fill out the application, pausing slightly at number five to have a small chuckle when he considered the context. Number seven, though. That did give him real cause to deliberate.

"Yeah I've heard that about personalities, I wonder what we will get." Blair liked to think she was quite friendly, yet strong minded at the same time. Just like her father. "Do you have any pets already?" She asked. "Nah, I never had pets before. I've always envied my neighbors with pets." She replied grimly. "But now that my parents allowed me to adopt a pet, I'm going to keep it forever." She grinned.
"How's Hogwarts like? Is learning magic really hard?" Leah asked, changing the subject. "I've never learned proper magic before." |

It was only when Jasper handed her an adoption application to fill out did she look up. "Thank you," she said softly.
She scratched out her answers to the best of her ability. She had her heart set on getting something small and fluffy. She chewed on her lip as she handed it back towards Jasper to let him hand them both in. "I really do hope you get the pet you want."

| SPNer | Whovian | Sherlockian | | Artist | Cornhusker | Blackhawks David walked around the wizarding market place for the first time with his wife and son. This place really was magnificent and he had no idea why he hadn't let Fallon talk him into coming here before. Yet here they were because she'd heard about some adoption fair and she wanted to replace Snuggles. For Isaac's sake she said. But he knew better. She missed having her cuddly cat around. "You're sure these animals are safe right?" Because he didn't need his son getting hurt. Fallon smiled at David as she repositioned Isaac in her arms. "Yes hon. I'm sure. We'll probably get a Kneazle or a Crup. They're just like a cat or a dog." She'd much prefer a kneazle, but a crup would be fun too. She walked over to the table and spotted the application. "Here take Isaac so I can fill this out." She handed her son over to her husband and filled out the application. Once that was done, she looked for a volunteer to give it to.

After a good day at the Daily Prophet and a shopping spree at Sugarplum's, Cardigan decided to take a visit to the Pet Adoption Fair not too far down the street. It had been in her interest to get a new, more cuddly pet, and saw this as the perfect chance to do so! What better place to do so than an adoption fair? She had gotten Gwenog and Wronski, her former toads, from a rescue, so she had a particular sentiment for these sort of things.
Getting up to the tables after looking around a bit, Cardigan picked up a quill and an application, filling it out with great care. It was a bit of a task, though, as the ink clotted up quite a bit. Even though she was in a strictly pure blood family, she had never quite gotten a grasp on writing with one. Setting down her quill for a moment, she pulled out a Fizzing Whizzbee from her bag, popping it in her mouth as she then continued. As childish as it sounded, she felt so official!
There! Now, where exactly to hand it in?
