I can't answer all of that question. eeeekkkk *spoiler* BUT what we can say is that 1) refer to my reply to Tina for Snape's cranky mood; 2) Snape is trying to convey that his subject is better - i.e. a potion is better then a charm; 3) Who is in a position to use a memory charm that he would like to taunt?
