Princess Thea looked around in awe at the Great hall, the big tables that were usually there were gone, round tables were scattered around the edges of a big dance floor some couples were already dancing. The whole hall was decorated in White, with White Snowflakes that fell down.
“I thought this is the Halloween ball?” Princess Thea asked Jack a bit confused
“It is. Watch who comes in next.” Jack said stopping to look at the door, Princess Thea watched and in walked Oliver Wood, who was dressed as a Vampire, the moment he step foot in the door the Hall changed from a Winter wonderland to a quidditch match. But after a few seconds it faded back into the Winter wonderland.
“Why has it changed back?” Princess Thea asked puzzled
“Cause you only see what you want, Others see what they want. It’s enchanted to look like that.” Jack explained
“What do you see?” Queried Thea
“You everywhere.” He said softly
Princess Thea would have kissed him right in the middle of the Ball if Shannon hadn’t come up to her.
“Princess isn’t this exciting?? I so love it!! I can’t wait until midnight!!” She said as she bounced away.
“What happens at midnight?” Jack asked
“Finally one I know! At midnight the younger kids go to bed and then the older couples get to go out onto the lake where there will be boats and things so you can sail around. Also there will be brooms so you can have a nice romantic flight in the moonlight!” Princess Thea said glancing up at Jack and smiling impishly
“What would you like to do? Sail or fly?” He asked as they moved onto the dance floor and started to sway to a classical waltz
“Fly of course!” Princess Thea said as she stared up into his brilliant green eyes. As they whirled around Princess Thea tore her glace away from Jack and looked around her, Lissy and Lupin were lost in their own world on the dance floor. Lady V and George and Fred and Candy were over by the food laughing. Ottery and Mel were no where to be seen, they must have got into another fight, Harry and Ginny were sitting at a table talking, Hermione and Neville were dancing near where Princess Thea was. Shannon was trying to teach Ron how to dance in the corner and Si and Draco were,, well they were sitting at a table looking like they were about to kill each other. Si was also gazing across the room at something, Princess Thea strained her neck to see Cedric entering the hall, dressed as Peter Pan. “ahh that explains it.” Princess Thea muttered to herself
“Explains what?” Jack asked
“Si and Draco, that explains it.” Princess Thea
Jack followed Princess Thea’s gaze and he saw Cedric entering the ballroom. “ Aww I see Noble Cedric had snagged Si’s attention.”
“Looks that way. Things could get ugly later on.” Princess Thea warned
“Looks like they already did.” Jack said nodding towards the door to the grounds.
Princess Thea looked over to See Ottery and Mel walk in, She couldn’t hear them but it looks like they were yelling at each other and judging by the look on their faces they weren’t happy words.
“I hope things get better with those two.” Jack said
“Yeah me too.” Princess Thea looked around for the thugs and she couldn’t find them. “hmm that’s weird.” she said gazing around more
“What?” Jack asked instantly alert
“Where are the thugs?”
Jack looked around, “I don’t see them, but I’m sure they are alright. Probably just having a little too much fun at the bar.”
“Hopefully.” The song ended and Jack escorted her off the dance floor when Oliver Wood came up to Princess Thea. “May I have the pleasure of this next dance?” He asked bowing
“Umm,” Princess Thea glanced at Jack who nodded “Sure! I would be honored.” She said putting her hand in his.
“I’ll be getting some drinks.” Jack said as Oliver led her onto the Dance floor.
“Okay.” A slow popular Pop Song started up. Oliver put his hands on her waist and she wrapped her hands around his neck slowly they swayed to the music.
“So are you happy with Jack?” Oliver asked
“I’ve never been Happier in my life.” Princess Thea responded and she watched Jack go and get the drinks.
“To think that it could have been me!” Oliver said smiling at her
“Aww come on Oliver you didn’t like me that way!” Princess Thea swung her gaze to him
“How do you know?”
“How come you never told me?”
“I was going to but then Jack came along and that was it!” Oliver said a bit sadly
“I’m sorry Oliver.”
“It’s okay, Hey it’s awful hot in here, wanna go into the garden for a little fresh air?” He suggested
“Well,,,” Princess Thea glanced over at Jack, who had his back to her, he was laughing and talking to Lady V, Candy, George and Fred. ”I guess it couldn’t hurt and I am very hot!”
Oliver took her arm and led her out the side door. They went into the Garden where it was cooler and Princess Thea took a few deep breathes. “Aww it’s so nice out here!”
“I thought so.” He said as he looked at her. She smiled at him and then something hit her from behind, and everything went black and she knew no more.
