As she was exiting charms Shannon bounced up to her, smiling about as wide as she could smile.
“Shannon! You don’t look happy enough! You should smile more!” Princess Thea said laughing
“Guess what?” Shannon said still bouncing up and down
“What?” Princess Thea asked now very curious
“I have a date to the Halloween ball!” Shannon was now smiling so wide Princess Thea thought her face would split in two.
“You do? “Princess Thea screeched “Who?”
“Ron!” And she started to jump up and down
“Ron! Wow how did that happen?” Princess Thea asked a tad shocked, she thought he was going to ask Hermione.
“He just came up to me and asked, He was so cute he was all red!” she said excitedly
“That’s soo cool! I’m so happy for you!!” Princess Thea said as she started to jump up and down with Shannon.
“Well look, if it isn’t the bouncing Gryffindork‘s .” said a sarcastic voice behind them
Shannon and Princess Thea Turned around to see Draco and Si standing there. Draco had his arm around Si
“Draco, Si.” Princess Thea said coldly
“Princess.” Si said snottily and then winked at her
“Princess.” Draco said haughtily, He knew better than to insult her especially with her thugs around. Not to mention her father and his father were good friends. “I still can’t believe you didn’t end up in Slytherin.” He said smirking
“I can, the sorting hat wanted to put me there, but I asked for something else.” She said
“C’mon Princess, let’s go.” Shannon said as she started down the hall
“Aww the little Gryffindor has to go run away.” Draco said laughing
“Draco..” Princess Thea said warningly her eyes going a pink color as they did when she felt threatened or belittled.
“You know Princess Thea just because your dad is a mob boss and you have 4 thugs doesn’t mean you scare us.” Si said scathingly
“Yeah and just because your daddy is a death eater doesn’t mean you scare me!” Princess Thea retorted, this was a rehearsed thing between them. Every time Si was out with her Slytherin’s they had to pretend to hate each other.
“C’mon Si,” Draco said wrapping his arm around her waist “Lets go.” Si looked back as they walked off and winked. She had liked Draco for the longest time and now it looked as thought he finally liked her back. In fact Princess Thea had caught them snogging in a supposedly deserted hall a few days ago. She hoped things worked out for them.
She turned and went over to Shannon who was waiting for her down the hall. They were walking back to their common room when they came upon Lissy, who looked really down.
“Lissy what’s the matter?” Princess Thea asked concerned
“Ohh nothing. I was just being a fool.” Lissy said quietly looking like she was about to burst into tears.
“A fool?” Shannon asked
“Yes to think that Lupin would go to the ball with me.” Lissy replied sadly
“Lupin won’t go to the ball with you?” Princess Thea asked
“Well, he said he would think about it. But it didn’t sound very encouraging. He said something about being to old.” Lissy said sounding dejected
“But I thought you guys kind of had a thing.” Princess Thea asked
“We do, ish. But he thinks he too old for me, or something like that.” Lissy sighed
“I think he’s just being stupid.” Princess Thea said trying to cheer her friend up. “I don’t know why he thinks that. Want me to talk to him?”
“No! Thanks though. We will work things out, hopefully. But thanks though.” Lissy said as she tried to smile.
“Well if he doesn’t come through, I’ll ditch Jack and we can go together!” Princess Thea said smiling
Lissy and Shannon laughed, ”No way am I giving up going with Ron! Sorry Lissy!” Shannon said
“Thanks for the offer Princess Thea, I just might have to take you up on that! Lissy said laughing.
“Okay, but I should warn you I’m a terrible dancer!” Princess Thea said as all three girls burst into laughter.
“Thanks guys for cheering me up!” Lissy said gratefully smiling at Princess Thea and Shannon
“No problem Lissy. Anytime!” Princess Thea said smiling
“Hi Princess,” a voice said behind her. All three girls spun round to see Harry, Ron and Hermione smiling at them.
“Hi Harry, Ron, Hermione! How are you guys doing?” Princess Thea asked
“I’m doing okay.” Harry said as he looked over at Ron, who was looking rather red.
“I’m doing good.” Ron said as he smiled at Shannon, who blushed and smiled shyly back.
“Did you guys ever get dates to the ball?” Princess Thea asked them.
“I did.” Hermione said “I’m going with Neville Longbottom.”
“Neville? That’s very cool.” Princess Thea said trying hard not to laugh “What about you Harry?”
“I’m going with Ginny.” Harry said blushing slightly
“Really? Wow that’s great Harry! I’m so happy for you!” Lissy said beaming, we all thought Harry and Ginny belonged together, it was just a matter of time.
“Yeah.” Harry said smiling.
“Ron it was so great to hear that you are going with Shannon!” Lissy said excited
“Yes it was.” Princess Thea added
Ron turned a brighter shade of red before responding. ”Well, I thought it was a good idea.”
“A great idea! “ Shannon replied beaming
“Do you guys know what you are going as yet?” Princess Thea asked
“No not yet, but we will figure it out.” Harry said. “Well we need to get to the library, we have some books to study. See you later.” and the three walked toward the library, Ron’s ears still a nice shade of red.
We laughed and headed toward the Ravenclaw Common room. When as we passed by a closet two people came tumbling out of it. There standing before us , slightly disheveled, flushed and out of breath was Si and Draco.
Princess Thea eyes were wide, Wow, go Si! She wondered what it would be like if her and Jack went into a closet! But sadly she hadn’t been in a closet, and kind of wondered what happened in there.
“Hi Si!” Lissy said giggling
“Lissy, Shannon. Princess.” Si said sarcastically as her and Draco took off toward the Slytherin Common room.
Lissy, Shannon and Princess Thea all looked at each other.
“Of all the Angels she tumbles out of the Broom closet first. Man! I had bets on Princess Thea!” Lissy said trying to look mad “Now I owe Ottery a lot of money! There will be no living with him after this.”
We all cracked up and headed off to the common room laughing.
