2098 Quidditch World CupHeld from June - August, the pinnacle of the wizarding world’s most popular sport is underway! Legends will be born and hearts will be broken, but will it be England or India that claims the Cup?!
You hold a ticket to the final match of the Quidditch World Cup!
Now, all you need to do is find your seat. Please check your ticket to see which general area your ticket is valid for: the stands have been divided up into the lower level stands, the upper level stands, and (if you are either incredibly important or extremely lucky) the Top Box seating. If you have any troubles finding your seat, simply ask one of the ushers. You are not allowed to claim a seat in any of the other areas not indicated on your ticket. Security Officers will check your ticket; so don't even try to trick them.
While the seats in the lower level of the stands might make it harder to keep up with everything happening on the pitch (craaaaane your necks, everyone), they are rumored to be the best seats for running into the official 2098 Quidditch World Cup mascot, Snidget Jack. So, keep a look out for him and his loyal companion, Glitty. The further up you get on the stands, the more expensive the tickets get. So unless you won your ticket (lucky you!!!), you might have to think about whether or not you reaaaallly need that trip to France this year or whether you maaaaybe would want to put those galleons towards Quidditch World Cup tickets instead.
The correct choice here, obviously, is the latter. Finding yourself in the upper level area of the stands, you immediately notice that the money was all worth it because you get to enjoy an AMAZING view over the whole pitch. It almost feels like the players are right in your face, almost close enough to touch - however, if you DO notice one of the players heading in your direction and they ARE almost close enough to touch, the appropriate reaction is to DUCK; the Golden Snitch might have tried to hide in your hair without your noticing. And the Ministry of Magic will not be held liable for any injuries sustained during the viewing of this match, however.
In order to reach the top box seating, you will generally be accompanied by an Auror due to the fact that you are most likely a Minister for Magic or one of their guests. Or you are this year's Leaky Cauldron Raffle winner? In which case you may also request a special MLE entourage (most likely an intern) should you wish to have one. The top box has special security measures set in place which means that if you are none of those people, and you do NOT hold a top box seating ticket, you are NOT allowed to be in there - MLE will be patrolling.
Now, get comfortable and enjo- But wait! First, make sure you are in the possession of some extravagant team merchandise and a huge amount of delicious food for you and your friends. If you aren't, quickly head on over to the food and merchandise stands before the match starts. Hurry, though! You don't want to miss a single second of this legendary match between India and England, right?
Lany was so excited for the Quidditch Cup. All summer she had been waiting for it. Especially since so many of her friends were in the same spot the same time. Everyone was just super busy over summer, so it was nice to catch up with some of them. As she reached the seats her heart skipped a beat. The view from here was incredible. The real question was, should she get some snacks first?!
Maybe....a cauldron cake...or some chocolate? Definitely a drink. This was gonna be alike a good movie, always better with popcorn. But this was gonna be so much more exciting and she wouldn't want to miss a minute.
Was she late?! Did she have time?! WHO KNEW! So she just sat down for a moment, trying to make her mind up.

Ah.... the Quidditch World cup, Sean was was waiting for this, he couldn't be anymore excited about it. He couldn't wait to see all his friends and the game, it was going to be great and he was honestly excited about it. Although he felt a bit weird here, but he was sure it'll go away, he was sure he wasn't the only American person here. Although he didn't know how long the game was going to be, so better stock up on some snacks and drinks, hey.... better safe then sorry! Hm... what to get? He honestly didn't know he was still getting used to the food here some.
Deciding to get some cauldron cakes and chocolate and drink he walked towards the stands with his things. Seeing a familiar beautiful blonde he smirked behind her. " You know if you lean over too much you might fall over Blondie, pity to see a beautiful face damaged." he told her smirking. Sean knew it wouldn't be long until she realized that it was him. He couldn't help but not to laugh at her excitement, he was excited as well and couldn't wait for the game to start. " I got some food if you're hungry or get hungry later on." he said positioning himself so he didn't knock the food out of his hands.

Plus, four-time French Quidditch champions just didn't go camping in the middle of the Quidditch World Cup camping park. It was a security hazard.
Not that ... she ... was an avid camper.
Instead, the Carden-Duprees had had porkeys arranged from somewhere in the Pacific for one day only; then it was back to their yacht as the Indian team celebrated their win. Really, have you seen their Chasers?
Mindlessly, the twenty-two year old showed the VIP credentials around her neck, bright blue eyes, hidden by sunglasses, surveying the area for the familiar figure of her Father. She briefly wondered if he would be sporting his own national team jersey. Or maybe a white and red wig, maybe that was it. She knew him well enough to know that, before kick-off, he would be somewhere in the food and beverage area, though. Just like he knew her well enough to know she'd stop there first. Cardens, you see? Keeping one hand casually in the pocket of her suit slacks, she adjusted her blazer and made her way there. If he wasn't there, she would at least get herself some popcorn.
Imagine an overexcited five year old waking up to a mountain of presents on Christmas morning. Now times that by ten and that's how excited Clifford Carden was right in this very moment. No exaggeration.
And yes, he was wearing his own national team jersey. The same one he'd worn over a decade ago when it was HIM out there in the air playing in a World Cup. Granted, it was a little more snug around the middle now but hey. He'd opted not to go for the wig but had let Al and Evie paint red and white flags on both his cheeks. Quidditch was life, okay? Go big or go home, that was his motto.
Speaking of....
"Hey kiddo, over here!" Yes, yes, over here. He shuffled over to make room for his eldest daughter and immediately shook his head in disappointment. Come on, he had raised her better than this. "I almost didn't recognise you," he started, moving to unpin the giant flag he was wearing around his shoulders as a cape. Yep, that was a thing too. "What's with the blazer and sunglasses? You look like you should be part of the security team."

Faith Chosen hadn't stopped laughing for the last fifteen minutes. It was all the snidget mascot's fault -- it had made a little squeak as she'd gone past and it had sounded far too close to a fart and that was all it took. She devolved into a fit of giggles, and every time Faith thought she could possibly be done, the laughter started again. It was just as well, because everyone was in heightened spirits today, especially Zoryn.
Oh, Zoryn. The light of her life. Love of her heart. Her ride-or-die. Person whose job had gotten them the tickets to this AWESOME match. Who was going way too quickly for the blonde, who had to stop at every landing to catch her breath. "You're going too fast, silly," she said when she caught up at last, pecking Z on the cheek. "You're supposed to enjoy the feel, it's not every year we get to host the world cup!"
The electricity in the air, the buzz in her chest, the sparkle in everyone's eye. It was hard to miss, and even harder not to catch. The excitement was as catching as fire.
But speaking of sparkles in eyes, something caught hers as she pulled away from Zoryn's cheek -- it was Théo. And Sylvie on his shoulders. The sight brought a wave of happy tears to Faith's eyes, and she immediately began trying to get their attention.
"THÉO! SYLVIEEEEE!" she cried, wiggling and jumping, her English-Flag-Cape billowing out behind her as she did. "OVER HERE!"
PHILOMATH ❅ not one atom, but two ♪ ♪ made of starstuff ❅ def main():
Excuse you Théodore Montmorency, Christopher was NEVER a bore. Christopher was fascinating and wonderful and amazing and Sylvie Norcott was beside herself that he was here. SO MUCH SO, that she had her hand in his hair the entire time even as she bopped along on top of Théo, holding popcorn in her free hand.
Which is the one she used to smack Théo's head with, causing some snack spillage. "Good thing WE'RE here, otherwise we'd have starved!! Quidditch games can go on forever and ever," and she'd know, because she'd sat and watched his, Faith and Zoryn's games every summer since third year. She'd forgotten how distracted Théo could get around girls, but it didn't bother her that much. She gets super distracted around Christopher all the time. Technically, it's good that Chris was here.
Generally it's good that Chris is where she is. That's always a great thing, and should always happen. Always.
But speaking of missing people, cue GASP. "Guys look it's Faith and Zoryn!" Sylvie (gently) kicked Théo to get him to look, trusting Chris would. "Let's go say hi! No one's catching any snitches yet anyway."

People -- well, her Mum -- liked to say that Daisy was a perfect copy of Clifford, but with bright blue eyes instead of chocolate brown. Their passion for Quidditch was the most obvious similarity, as was their appreciation for food. They were both loud, confident, going through the world like they belonged everywhere. But whereas Clifford didn't take himself that seriously, Daisy rather did. Just like distracted people might take her various acts of kindness as weakness, they also took her occasionally silly actions to mean she was rather comic.
She wasn't. Daisy Carden-Dupree walked through the world with the confidence to do and be whatever she wanted. She just chose to be a star, the absolute best at everything she set out to do. Four years of living in Paris on a Quidditch-player salary meant she grew rather used to looking the part as well. Flags as capes were so 2018, or so the French said.
Still. The girl stopped and turned towards the unmistakable voice of her Dad, her lips stretching into a joyous grin. "Dad!" She jogged the rest of the way to him and, as soon as she was close enough, wrapped both her arms around his neck. "You look brilliant." She tugged on one of the ends of the flag!cape, not really worried about his fashion critique. He had once worn socks with his sandals. "What are you talking about? No security team in the world would dress in suits this snazzy." She'd know, four years in Paris. With a bright chuckle, the younger Carden started to pose in her red suit, even adding a little spin. The sunglasses did get retired, though. "Besides, it's red! I'm totally supporting England." Only because she was English. She was pretty sure India was going to take this. "Where is Mum and the kids? Should we just take our seat?"

Zoryn was FULL of GLEEEEEEEEEEEEE and other things. Liquid things. Things that contributed to the GLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Why was faith sooooooo slow!!!! This PROFESSIONAL QUIDDITCH PLAYER (did everyone know?) (because if not, ZORYN WOULD MAKE SURE THEY KNEW) (YES, HI, SHE WAS CLAD IN ALL ENGLISH COLORS AND ALSO MIDRIF BUT SHE HAD A FALCON TATTOO ON HER BUM CHEEK IF ANYONE WANTED TO SEE)!!!
"I'm just sooohooooo excited!!" she hollered, throwing her head back in laughter. "Can't help it!" Yes, she was shrugging. Did Faith KNOW how silly she looked? Because she looked like she was floating on actual clouds. Good thing Zoryn had snacks in her bag. Only Merlin knew how Faith got about snacks when she was like this. Well, Merlin AND Zoryn. Because Zoooorrrrryyyynnnn KNEW her girllllllllllllfriend. Friend who was a girl. The girl who was a friend that she liked to snog and do other things with. Things that made her happy. Faith was soooooooooooo good at making her happy. Kind of like how happy she was now. Bubbly.
She did, however, wait for Faith Chosen to catch up. Did she move her head to turn that cheek kiss into a lip kiss? Abshmolutely. NOTHING could kill the vibe. Nothing could kill THE FEEL. Nothing could--
Wait what.
It was almost as if all her QUICK, SPEEDY reflexes were being played in slow motion. As if her arms were swimming in molasses. Almost-- No, she didn't have time for more descriptors. Because while she was on a delay, she had actually thrown her hand over Faith's very own mouth, waving her hands over the blonde's to cover any sort of 'flagging motion' that Faith was trying to do. NO NO NO NO NO.
She was no longer feeling that buzzing happy gleeful thing.
She went from 100 to 0 real quick. NO. NO NO NO NO NO. She DID NOT WANT TO SAY HI TO THEO MONTMORENCY. NOR DID SHE WANT TO SAY HI TO SYLVIE NORCOTT. AND SHE ABSOLUTELY, NO WAY IN LITERAL HECK WANTED TO SAY HI TO CHRISTOPHER.

Théo was in the moment even though he thought he heard a scream that sounded like someone he knew but he was not going to give it much thought because he was being led around like a horse right now. Sylvie had a point even if he was going to admit it because this game could last foooreeeever and they would be without food.
STILL NOT HIS FAULT.

WHOOOOAAAAAAAAAAA
That was definitely a Chosen voice and he had faith it was Faith's as well. HA. This idiot was hilarious
"COMING OVER"
Which was him and Sylvie in agreement, sorry Chris. Quickly and trying not to stagger over. He made it to them in once(two peices counting Sylvie and gave Zoryn and Faith two big hugs since he did miss them and nope not awkward at all. Théo was IN the moment.
"HEY ZORYN, MISSED YOU...HEY FAITH. NICE CAPE"
Cape Duo FTW. Since technically, he has seen Faith over the summer so far and just not Zoryn funny enough. Also, Faith smelled remarkable like something he remembers and enjoyed in brownies and merlin knew he forgot to bring something.
"You guys look great together"
Take that as you will.

The Minister was HERE and he had been HERE since sunrise helping with final preparations for the match and providing tours for foreign visitors. It had truly been just the event that this Ministry had needed and his discussions, dinners, and meetings with foreign ambassadors and leadership gave Charles every reason to believe that the image of this Ministry was changing. Improving astronomically. Perhaps they could finally put the dark legacy that had been the Ministry under Nickles behind them all, eyes solely forward.
His chest was positively swelling with pride. He could honestly CRY, but would not. He could handle himself with a bit more professional poise in the moment. Until England won that is. Then all bets would be off.
Knowing his son - one of them - was in the stands, along with his daughter and her family....the Minister elected to leave his private box in lieu of viewing the match proper from the stands and among the public. Much better for feeling the energy and experiencing the World Cup, if he said so himself.
So it was that Charles descended into the stands with a wide GRIN upon his polish scruffy features. The Minister briefly retrieved his golden pocket watch from inside the pocket of his crimson suit vest to check the time, squinting a bit as the light hit it in just the right way that it reflected into his blue eyes and blinded him just a bit. Everything was running like clockwork and it was proving to be QUITE the match.
Pocketing it again, and still standing on the steps between the rows of spectator seats - waving and greeting as he made his way down - Charles turned his attention skyward at the players.

The meerkat patronus came to Eliora in the worst moment ever. She was deep in the throws of conversation and her annoyance was evident as she ushered her way out of the stands to go and deal with what was happening.
Someones head was going to roll.

Ah, the fateful day.
All bets were on. All of the pieces were coming together. But Renata wanted to watch it play out for itself. She wanted to see the soar, hear the whizz and feel the winds go past her. Her ticket had been more expensive than she had wanted to pay, but it was worth it.
Diego was VERY happy. For one, his first year at uni had passed relatively well and he only stress ate once. Two, he'd been to see Amaia which was always a good thing, because she was always going on about how he didn't visit enough as if apparition isn't a two way thing. SHE could also visit, and should visit seeing as Madrid is her home. And thirdly, he was ecstatic because they had World Cup tickets - granted, he was also a bigger football fan than he was Quidditch - and he hadn't needed to pull connections to get them, and the atmosphere in this stadium was infectious and he was VERY HAPPY. Full circle.
Carrying their sustenance for the evening in his free hand - popcorn, nachos, he'd taken a bit of everything because Quidditch games could go on for a really long time apparently? - Diego squeezed his girlfriend's hand. It was hard to talk as they made their way through the stands, the noises of the stadium deafening, but he tried to convey this was very exciting and almost as great as a football world cup but even better because she was here and he loved her. In case she forgot.
He'd tell her properly when they'd find their seats.
Peering awkwardly down at the tickets that were pinned between her teeth (because her hands were busy with boyfriends hand and drinks), Felicity muttered some very awkward apologies as she shuffled her way towards their seats. It was only when she arrived at them that she let go of Diego's hand and put her drink down, before double checking the tickets and sitting down.
Oooh, this was exciting. Grabby hands went out for the food that Diego was holding, only so she could hold it whilst he got sat down and then she could give it back to him. The only reason she wouldn't be more helpful was because her keeping hold of the snacks meant they would be gone before kick off. Or... broom off? Whatever the Quidditch equivalent was.
Felicity only knew the football one because of her boyfriend.
Also, was that Skylar and Orion passing by and looking incredible cosy whilst doing so?!

The whistle might get some use yet.
Though all at once he saw the seekers going for the stands and his eyes went looking for the golden object they were after, but what he saw put more sweat on his forehead then flying on a warm day. His whistle was being blown as both players were going straight for the British Minister of magic and his pocket watch. His whistle was no good, because it was to late to stop them as both seekers were speeding right for the stands. [...]
Conley had been seated in the stands long before the game had started, intent on catching every moment of the game. His department had put a lot of work into making sure that all the international aspects of the game would go off without a hitch, and so far, there hadn't been problems. Well, at least not in regards to his jurisdiction.
He had been watching the British seeker when she took off, heading in his direction. Eyes scanning the area, because surely the Seeker wouldn't have taken off like unless she had spotted the Snitch. Something flashed nearby and Conley's eyes sought it - only to find The Minister and a flash of light.
"Oh no," Conley muttered, then was on the move. Who knew if the players could change course in time not to take out the man. "Minister watch out!" he called as he jumped down a row and reached out a hand to pull Charles out of the way. Last thing he needed was for the game to take out his boss.
It was the World Cup time and Chloe was so thankful she was allowed to go. She hadn't been allowed out of the house too much and when she did she got a little nervous, but her entire family was there and if she forgot something or had to head home she knew they would go even if she would feel horrible for making them leave the match. Keeping a hold onto Gunnars arm for fear of tripping or even forgetting where their seats were she let him lead the way.
"Think we can get some snacks before it starts?" She glanced towards her parents and her brother. A soda or maybe a lemonade sounded good too. "Who does everyone think will win today?" She, of course, was hoping England would win, but the match was going to be fun either way. "Maybe you'll see me playing in one of these one day." She wasn't going to let her injury slow her down from her goal, though it had slowed the summer down more than she wanted, she was hopeful that she'd move past it and get back into training.
Jörg was excited to be going to the Quidditch Cup and even more excited that his parents somehow got tickets right near his friends. he had been over at the McCarthy house earlier in the day but went home to get his things before heading back with his parents and now they were there. His excitement was showing as he almost bounced up the steps.
'I can grab snacks for us Chloe so then you don't have to go back down if you want." He knew she was still recovering and wanted to help out. His friend had given him a pretty good scare at that match and he had been checking on her and hanging out with Gunnar as much as he could since. Though their team had gotten the starting seeker back he had missed Chloe at practices.
"I'm cheering on India, did you catch that match with Bulgaria, they are going to hand England their behinds today."
Gunnar had to admit that he was pretty excited that they got to go to the Quidditch World Cup. It was a really big deal and, even though he wasn't as into any of the English players as he would have been into the German players had they have been playing, he was still eager for the match. He just didn't really have a favorite. Okay, maybe England since he would feel more loyalty towards that country having family and heritage here. But either way, it was sure to be a good time.
And he didn't mind taking care of his sister while they were at the match. He was still rather worried about her, especially with some of the memory issues she was clearly having. Though maybe it was his brother he should be worried about with his entire no fear, cavalier attitude. But he was used to that from Morgan.
"Sure, let's get some snacks," he answered Chloe in German, his preferred language to those who could speak it. "Some sodas and soft pretzels?" Though nachos with cheese sounded really good too. He glanced at Jörg. "Are you sure? I could help you get some." And he could leave Chloe and Morgan with their parents, so his sister didn't have to worry about walking and his brother wouldn't be such a handful for him. Plus, it would be a lot for the other boy to handle on his own.
It didn't matter so much to him who won, and Gunnar simply shrugged when the conversation turned to that. He didn't follow any of it that closely, even if he did like the sport and really enjoyed playing himself. "I bet you will one day, Chlo," he grinned. He could definitely see her playing professionally some day, and even for a national team. She was already on her way, even with her injury.
"Whoa, guys! We're really high up!" Morgan said in his mixture of German and English as he leaned over the railing to look at how far down the ground was. He normally would have balked at having his older brother pull him away from the railing like he did, but he was soon distracted by all the noises and commotion going on around them. There was a lot to see, and look! Some of the players were already flying on their brooms!
"No way, Chloe!" he grinned as she mentioned playing in a match like this one day. "I'm going to play the Quidditch World Cup and I'll kick your booty into next week!" That was a hilarious phrase he had recently learned at school, and he laughed again as he told it to his sister. But he was suddenly more interested in snacks. "I want hot dogs, Gunnar!" Three of them, with different toppings on each.

Mia chuckled to herself, this girl's excitement is contagious to say the least. "I'm from Vietnam, was working in France, but my dad is English and I'm trying to find work here!" Mia had to yell over the shouting of the crowd. "Nice to meet you Anna!"
Mia stood up and yelled, "LET'S GO ENGLAND!! WOOOO!!" Mia couldn't deny that some of the players on the Indian team were pretty cute though, but her heart is cheering for England. She couldn't go against her dad on that.
Mia sat back down and looked at the Anna, "Do you play Quidditch?" she yelled. Mia had always wanted to learn, but getting off the ground that high was too terrifying. She'll stick to football, thanks.
"Wow, pretty international!" Anna chuckled when Mia told her she was from Vietnam but had just come from France yet had an English father. And she was trying to find work there? "What kind of work? What do you do?" Anna wasn't nosy, but curiosity was one of her traits, what could she do?
Turning her attention to the match, Anna SCREEEEEAMED and shouted and cheered and 'ouch'ed whenever players got hit but bludgers and basically reacted in general to everything that was going on. She was obviously cheering for England, but she was still watching a certain Indian Chaser closely just because. Heehee.
THOSE PLAYERS WERE GOING STRAIGHT TO THE STANDS, AAAAHHHHH!!!!
Of course Anna screamed her head off because that was SO FUN TO WATCH, SWEET MERLIN! All of the ADRENALINE, IT WAS LIKE SHE HAD EATEN ALL THE SUGAR IN THE WORLD, WOW.
Then she heard Mia's yelling as she continued the conversation. If she played Quidditch!?? "Of course!! That's basically all I do!" The girl laughed. Nope, she didn't care that much her studies. At least not as much as she cared about Quidditch and broom races. "I love it, I'm hoping to go pro one day! You??" She asked just as loudly. Mia had to like Quidditch at least a little bit to be there. Though Anna supposed there were tons of people that were there just because this was the World Cup. Still. Mia was there on her own, so she was probably a fan.

Had you ever seen a massive snidget before? No well here he was was! Rather anthropomorphic too! Holding his big ol' broom in his massive feathery hand and a little glittering birdy friend zipping around his head. Wearing her best Union Jack safely painted on her belly.
Jumping around the lower part of the stands pumping his hand in the air and dancing around with Glitty every time England would make spectacular plays. Jack was having the time of his life!
Who wanted to cheer and dance and take photos with him and glitty!? This was a great moment!

The one thing that broke Carys out of her normal quiet shell was Quidditch, and when she’d first found out that Aunt Mia had gotten them tickets to the World Cup, she had nearly been beside herself in excitement. Even if she’d had to give up a U14 practice or two in order to be ready for this match. Because she wasn’t about to do anything other than support England when they very well could actually win the whole thing.
Not that India didn’t deserve the win too, but it was England. Outside of Wales having their own national team, she had to support England. Which was why she had a tiny little Union Jack painted on each cheek (with makeup, not her mum’s paints), and she’d perked up as she saw the mascot jumping around near the bottom of the stands near her.
“Carsyn! Want to go dance with him?,” she asked, lightly poking her sister’s side before she began climbing back down toward the giant snidget and his glittery friend.
"Hi!", she said once she came up to where the snidget was, glancing up at the glittery bird to include it too. And also getting a glimpse of the split-second save that kept the English seeker from crashing into the Minister of Magic. Ooh.

He could barely hear what she was saying over the roars of the crowd but Clifford quickly returned the hug before returning to unpin the flag he was wearing. Daisy's outfit definitely needed some improvements and good thing he was here to help, right? Dad to the rescue. Don't get him wrong, he enjoyed a nice suit but now really wasn't the time. Suits ought to be saved for award ceremonies and charity balls.
"Oh, I lost them somewhere near the merchandise stand," he responded to her question, "I didn't want to miss kick off..." So yes, he'd basically abandoned his family for the sake of Quidditch. Evangeline would understand. "Now hold still." He draped the flag around Daisy's shoulders and got to work tying it in a knot at her neck and was so distracted with the task he didn't even see the seekers making a dive for something shiny on the other side of the stands.

Mia chuckled, it always seems to catch people by surprise when they hear her background. “Yes, well I do love to travel! I worked as a corespondent for the French Ministry with England and Japan. I also worked for the Japanese Minister as an intern when I first graduated. I’m looking to be in Internationals Affairs or as an Auror, but we’ll see where I get in.” Mia explained. She knew she’s been all over the place for work or school, but she was ready to find a place to settle and build a home for herself. She really loved visiting England for work and thought it could be just the place.
Mia SCREAMED and cheered right along with Anna as the match continued! She always found watching the Beaters to be the most entertaining, albeit a bit scary. “WOOOOO! LETS GO ENGLAND!!!”
Mia laughed with Anna. ‘How could this girl not play Quidditch? She seems enthusiastic enough.’ She chuckled to herself. “I love the game! You should’ve seen the teams at my old school, it was almost as good as a pro game! They take it veryseriously.” Mia couldn’t help but smile at the memories. “No, I’ve never been able to work up the nerve to fly very high on a broom, but I have several friends that played growing up and a couple of themselves went pro in Asia! I still go to a couple games a year to cheer them on. It’s amazing to watch!” Talking about her friends from school just brings back the memories of riding a broom for the first time and seeing some of those, now pro players, falling off heir brooms or bling for the Quaffle. It made her proud to see their endless hard work paying off and how happy they are. “What position do you play? Have you played for a while?” Mia asks as she’s reminded of just how young the girl herself seemed to be. ‘She’s probably only sixteen!’ Mia thought to herself.

"So how old are you now, if you don't mind me asking?" Anna asked, since this girl didn't seem that old but sounded like she already had a ton of life experience! Maybe that was what people got for traveling so much. Anna would look into it if Quidditch wasn't so awesome. Wait, did Mia say Author or Auror?? The Gryffindor tried to get a bit closer to be able to hear the conversation a bit better amongst ALL those loud people around her. "My brother's a trainee Auror with the Ministry!" In case she said Auror. "And my uncle's a writer." She added in case Mia had said Author. Lol. Covering all the bases, she was good at that. "I've got a big family." Anna said, chuckling.
KSJNDFDSKLJFNKJSD HAD THEY SEEN THE SNITCH!!?!? "GO ON, ENGLAND, YOU CAN DO IT!!!" Anna could also cheer on the good looking Indian Chaser, but that'd mean going against England and she was NOT about to do that, nope. He wasn't THAT good looking. Not enough to make her change her allegiance, obviously! That would take a whole lot more than just being good looking, alright.
...Actually, no, she'd NEVER change her allegiance because hopefully ONE DAY she'd be playing for that team herself!!!! !!!!!! DREAM COME TRUE!!!!!
Anyhow, speaking of snitch, that crazy Mascot was very entertaining. Anna would have paid more attention to it if QUIDDITCH WASN'T HAPPENING, but it was, sorry, Snidget Jack! She sent him/her a thumbs up, though, because they were cool. But her focus was almost immediately back on the MATCH!
The teams at her old school? "Wait, so... what school did you go to?" Being so international, Anna wouldn't be surprised if Mia had gone to a totally exotic wizarding school! The sixteen year-old chuckled at the girl's next words about her old school's Quidditch teams taking it very seriously. "We take it seriously at Hogwarts too. Sometimes a bit too seriously..." She snorted, shaking her head as she remembered some pretty insane moments from the previous years. "I suppose people can get very passionate when it comes to Quidditch." A slight understatement, maybe. Lol.
Whaaaat, Mia had never flown!?!?!? "Wait, you've never flown before???" Anna asked in shock, completely missing the fact that that hadn't been exactly what Mia had said. That was, however, what her brain immediately concluded because HOOWWWW could anyone NOT like flying!?!?!? Anna would never understand those people. BUT they were talking about her favourite topic, so she was beaming when she replied to the next question. "I'm a Chaser! And yeah, I've played for a few years now. I first started as a broom racer, which is super amazing in its own right, to be honest, then I tried out for Quidditch a few years ago and made my house team. Never looked back since!" She finished with the biggest grin.

This was the most exciting day and Chloe should be about as hyper and excited as Morgan was, but she was way more calm and quiet. She just was taking everything in and holding on until she got to her seat. Once they were at their seats she didn't stand for long, but sat and got comfortable listening to all the conversations around her. She went into her own thoughts for a moment as she pictured what it would be like to fly like this one day. She would do it no matter what she had to give up or try. Hearing Gunnar says she would be was nice too, he was so supportive of her and she appreciated it.
She looked up at Gunnar for a moment as he named some snacks, her stare probably showed that she was thinking harder than she should for the answer. "Yes, that works. I like pretzels... Ithink" the last of those words mumbled more to herself than to anyone around her.
As she watched Morgan she gasped, "Would you sit down before you fall. Mum doesn't need to injured children while she's pregnant with the fourth." She still couldn't believe her mom was having another baby, though she didn't mind it, it was just weird. Plus look how crazy Morgan was, did she really want another? 'You are giving me a headache Morg, please sit down." He was talking so fast and in both their languages, it was too hard for her to keep up so she just focused on the pitch as the match got started.
"I want England to win" she mentioned to Jörg as she thought about what he had said. It was nice that he was right next to them, she enjoyed her friend and was glad to get to see him. Her eyes widened though as two seekers came flying towards the stands, luckily it wasn't right near them, but was that the minister of magic? Thankfully it seemed they didn't hit him and all was well, but wow was the chasers really moving back and forth.
She glanced at Gunnar and Jorg for a second, "I can help if you need it, but I'd rather just stay here if that's alright." She knew that was what they wanted her to do, so she scanned the pitch again, "Oh hey Morgan look there." Pointing at the mascot she figured he'd like it.
Jörg just watched the McCarthy's, since he didn't have any siblings this family was always fascinating to him. He enjoyed being around all of them and liked how well they got along, though some of their fights would make him laugh harder than they should. He frowned at Chloe's frustration she seemed to have in her head. "If you want to help me that's fine Gunnar, but if you think you should stay I can grab everything." He knew it might be a lot, but he could handle it.
Morgan was so entertaining that Jörg had a hard time not watching him, but the game soon started and he stood to head towards the concessions with his eyes in the sky.

But this was SUUUPER exciting, okay? And there were so many people! Did she already say that this was exciting? Did she?! She did. She couldn't say it enough.
But out of fear that her mum would have a fit, the little redhead decided to hold onto her dad's hand instead. Mum was staying at home because her tummy was getting SUPER BIG (who knew how two human babies could fit inside that, right?) and mum was scary when she got mad and moody. Anyway, mum couldn't bear to walk around, which means this was Cassie and daddy time! "Yeah yeah yeah yeah!" she nodded enthusiastically, bouncing along and looking around. "Hey, dad, we're getting mummy and Kristopher some souv—" What was that word again? She'd read it from a book before. A thingy one gets for people when they can't be around for something. "Uhhhhh, we're getting them shirts, right?" There, much better!
Clement had to admit that he had been nervous about bringing his little girl here. There were going to be so many people, and he knew that his wife would murder him if he lost their little girl. But he also adored quiddich, and wanted his little girl to love it as much as he did. So.... the risk was worth taking. The ex-beater was just happy that England were playing in the final. Of course he did remember the fact that he was French, but he lived in England, had done for a long time now, and so he ready to support the country that was his home. He hoped they played well, because it would be terrible if they lost in their own country.
Cle was sad that Kat hadn't been able to come. But she was ready to pop soon, and having a baby at the quidditch world cup was probably no fun. So he was having a daddy-daughter day instead. That would be fun. "Of course we are getting them shirts!" He murmured with a smile as she looked down at his daughter. "Maybe we can get some with Belrose on to match your Arrows shirts" Since he'd made sure Cassie had gotten one with his playing number on from when he'd played.
andd they were playing! And the Minister had nearly gotten hurt! He raised an eyebrow, watching those bludgers. Hmm. They were certainly providing some wild moments on the pitch! Interesting! Interesting!

She finished with the biggest grin.
"I'm 23." Mia smiled at the young girl. "I was training as an Auror in France as well, but requested a transfer about a month ago. Maybe I'll be training with your brother!" She practically had to yell at this point, the crowds were so loud and excited! "How big is big? I've got a pretty small family. I'm an only child, so is my dad and my mom has a brother."
Mia jumped from her seat yelling when the quaffle missed the goal post, "COME ON UROPI, YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT!!". She couldn't believe she'd witnessed a shot like that at the World Cup. "Làm sao có thể không có điểm nào!? Chuyên gia!? England, come on! Bạn có thể làm tốt hơn! Bạn là một đội tuyệt vời! Kéo mọi người lại với nhau!" She couldn't help it. When she gets excited or frustrated the Vietnamese just comes out. She's sure she's confusing others around her, but she doesn't care. She's too invested in the game to worry about what others think.
Mia barely heard Anna's question over the crowd's - and her own - screaming and shouting. "I went to Mahoutokoro in Japan. Growing up in Vietnam it was the closest Wizarding school. They're pretty much known for their academics and their Quidditch. Our robes are enchanted to change colors based on our grades or if someone ever dabbled in the Dark Arts or betrayed the Wizard's Code you'd always know."
Mia laughed at Anna's reaction, she should expect no less from a Quidditch fan. She wasn't exactly new to that reaction. "I've flown before, but with the conditions some Quidditch players train in back in Japan and some of the injuries I've seen with school mates I've been content to keep my feet on the ground for the most part. Apparating is much more user-friendly."Of course she plays on her house team. She's probably Captain too, or bloody close to it. Mia chuckled to herself. This girl seems born to fly with all of her excitement."Congratulations!! That sounds awesome!"

Sure, he had the money to buy pretty good tickets, but nothing beat attending with his girl and she seemed to be able to grab better tickets then those that had been on sale. Skylar felt soooo grateful and blessed to have Orion's presence here with her. She barely noticed Felicity and Diego as she passed by and gave them a small smile as she did, cause hello former dormmate. Although, it vaguely crossed her mind that probably Vivian might have been the only one to know of her new relationship? Oh well, she supposed what better time for others to know then a quidditch world cup. Although the loud arrival of some younger Gryffindors - including one Zoryn Spinnet and company - Skylar realized half the people may have been too inebriated to notice any difference. She supposed that was a good thing, maybe?
Grinning and squeezing his hand when he wrapped it around her, she nodded. "Left, yes, I think one row up." And they were there! "Ooooh... wait, is that ..." she squinted out at the pitch in time to see the seekers dive.

Uhhhh did Carys even have to ask??? Seriously, Carsyn was in such a great mood because HELLO quidditch. It didn't even matter that they didn't have U14 practice this week because it was totally worth it to see England CRUSH India in the World Cup. Because yes, England was going to win and there was nothing India could do about it.
"Yesssss ...... come on! We should get pictures tooooo!!!!!!!!!" Mmhm, best day everrrr.... and Carsyn practically hopped ahead to catch up to her, grabbing her sister's hand in time to reach the bird.
"hiiii !!! Can we get a picture??" Mmhm. Straight-forward.

Orion completely missed Felicity and Diego. He was too busy looking around. There was too much to see. It was exciting to be here. The atmosphere was really once in a lifetime.
He smiled to himself. The company was also once in a lifetime.
He followed her up to their seats and turned to look as she spoke. He pulled out a pair of binoculars to get a better look.

Cassidy loved people. She truly did. She liked giving hugs and squishing people's face and giggling around as she 'played' hide and seek with them. But that was usually reserved for people she knew growing up. This environment was a bit freaky for her, but it was okay. These were people who loved Quidditch, and she grew up watching her daddy play and eventually scout for the Arrows. "Dad, Mr. Lamberto is playing, riiiight?" Could they meet him?! Didn't he play for the Arrows too? Did they get special access and stuff?
Cassidy nodded and nodded and nodded. See? Dad was very smart and she was rather biased for being a daddy's girl. Sorry, mum. "We're gonna have to get a big shirt for mum," Cassie pointed out, all giggly. Which was half a joke but also TRUE because mum's tummy was big. "Or should we get them caps instead? OR! Or we get FOUR shirts to include baby sibling 1 and baby sibling 2?" See? She could be considerate for her soon-to-be baby siblings too! Cassidy was definitely acing her big sister role, no doubt.
"WATCH OUT!" Snitch and bludger incoming! Hide! Duck, cover, and hooooold!

HAHAHAHAHAHA. She wanted to laugh out loud when the journalist guy mentioned that, although he wasn't wrong. Reed Castell was really a good guy, and polite, also good looking.... Stop right there, Burton. "I can see that." Ava nodded slightly and smiled as he mentioned that. Still trying to act professionally and let's hope she's not going to ruin that. This was good, carry on. "Did Daily Prophet only send one journalist to report this huge event like this?" As far as she remembered, he wasn't the sport journalist so probably there would be at least a couple of their team to be here.
The YATI used to be a huge fan of Quidditch. The Tornados was her favorite team (and funny how she ended up dating the chaser's son) and Alec Summers was her childhood crush (she still couldn't get over when he's on her Quidditch camp and gave her a hug+autograph. Man, 10-year old Ava was over the moon.) She was still following the sport, but it's not as fanatic as she used to be. "England is good, but I think India will win. They had fantastic record and not to mention England was beaten by them on group stage." Plus India won against Bulgaria-the team who has bigger chance to win the cup this year. "How about you?"
Reed could sense that Ava was forcing herself not to laugh, and that was fine. The good guy comment was meant to be a joke anyway, and however Ava took the joke, it was up for interpretation. Although, to be fair, his parents, especially his father, had been nothing but an influence on him. He knew that himself.
Him alone? Here at the Quidditch World Cup? Reed chuckled. "Don't be silly, Ava. We're everywhere." Some of them were probably doing behind-the-scenes information gathering. Others, Reed knew being a news reporter, weren't here too. While the Quidditch World Cup was the real deal in the wizarding community right now, it wasn't the only thing happening in Britain and the Prophet wasnt about to report news solely on the world cup. So yes, when he meant everywhere, Reed truly meant everywhere. Reed didn't know where Euphy was, though. He had forgotten to ask, but she was likely backstage trying to interview a player or two. This was her event, being a sports writer.
"Not a huge fan. The most I know would be their scores," The journalist replied. A diehard fan would probably be very annoyed with him for saying that out loud, but he was here to fulfil his task. "If anything, I'm here for a good game. I'm sure both teams won't disappoint." He was sure Ava knew more of the strengths and weaknesses of both teams. We would also give it to India for having a clean no-lose record. Seemed like the team to beat. "Other than that, I'm doing well. Nice view of the match from here." Journalist perks, he might add. "I hope I'm no distraction to your work." He would hate to be a distraction. He personally hated being distracted while he was working too.
And Reed was also going to pretend that the seekers didn't just dive for the Minister.
