| Professor Flitwick stood of a pile of books behind his desk, surveying the class cheerfully.
“I can see that a large group of students have come back to this class!” He said, beaming. “This is very good news indeed. Today we will be reviewing spells we already know. Please do so non-verbally. Most of you should remember this work from last year. Feel free to partner up, and get to work.”
“What did we do to deserve class with the Slytherins?” Amy asked with a sigh. Getting up, Amy walked over to the cupboard to get pillows for herself, Molly, Dan and Brian. Grabbing some overstuffed purple throws Amy turned to go back to her seat and bumped into Malfoy.
“Watch it!” Malfoy said sharply, shoving her to get to the pillows.
“No, you watch it!” Amy said, giving his a hard shove back that made him hit his head on the cupboard door. Walking towards her friends, Amy turned back to see Malfoy glaring at her.
“Serves him right for shoving you.” Dan said, nodding at Malfoy and helping himself to a pillow.
“He is so fully of himself.” Muttered Brian with a look of disgust.
“Really?” Molly asked with an innocent look on her face. “I think he’s quite cute!” Amy laughed as Brian and Dan stared at Molly.
“It’s just a joke guys, relax.” Molly said.
“Thank God, you scared me for a minute.” Dan said.
Amy turned her attention to her pillow. Concentrating hard, and biting her lip so she wouldn’t utter the spell out loud, she made her pillow lift slowly a few feet into the air.
“Is that all you can do Arbor? Jeez, and they said you were good. I suppose Ravenclaw isn’t all its cracked up to be, is it now?” Came Malfoy’s taunting voice. Amy glared at him, wishing she could hex him on the spot. That can be arranged… Amy thought to herself.
“No, it’s not all I can do, actually.” Amy said with a smile. Pointing her wand at Malfoy she concentrated for a moment. With a loud ‘pop’ Malfoy’s hair turned bubblegum pink. It was a most unflattering color on him.
“Well done Miss Arbor! Thirty points to Ravenclaw!” Said Professor Flitwick, beaming at her. Amy smiled smugly at a horror struck Malfoy. “Mr. Malfoy, can you change your hair back?” Flitwick asked.
“Of course, Sir.” Malfoy said. Pointing his wand at himself Malfoy concentrated for a moment and his hair turned bright orange. Amy snickered; Malfoy had gotten himself so worked up that he couldn’t even manage a simple charm.
“I’ll do it Sir.” Amy said, pointing her wand at Malfoy once again and changing his hair back to normal.
“Well done, another twenty points to Ravenclaw!” Professor Flitwick squeaked, toppling off his books. Climbing back up, he waved at the class to go back to work.
“That was brilliant Amy!” Molly said, grinning. “And you’ve won back all of the points we lost in potions.”
“I was just helping you to get Malfoy back, is all. Gosh, I hate that kid. He’s so arrogant, acts like he has something stuck up his--” Amy was cut short when Brian poked her. Lifting his wand, he levitated his pillow a few feet above the ground. Moving it towards Malfoy, he allowed it to drop, landing on his head and causing him to let out a loud grunt.
“Mr. Malfoy, is something wrong?” Professor Flitwick asked, looking up from his paper.
Malfoy pointed at Brian. “He just dropped a pillow on my head Sir!”
“Mr. Malfoy, it was a pillow. I doubt it will do any lasting damage. If you do, however, feel it will then you may take a visit to Madam Pomfrey.” Professor Flitwick turned to Brian. “Mr. Schwartz, did you drop a pillow on Mr. Malfoy?”
“Yes, I did Sir, but I didn’t mean to.” Brian said. “I was levitating it and I got distracted and lost control. It just happened to hit Malfoy.”
“Do be more careful next time Mr. Schwartz.” Said Professor Flitwick. When he had looked away, Brian grinned.
“Come on; admit it, that was good.” Brian said. Before anyone could answer the bell rang.
“Come on, let’s go!” Amy said, grabbing her books. Walking down the hallway, the group headed up the stairs towards Transfiguration.
“I’m so glad we all passed our O.W.L.S and we can be in classes together.” Amy said happily. She had been worried that their group might be split, but it hadn’t.
“Yea, it was lucky.” Dan said with a smile.
“I wonder who we have transfiguration with.” Said Molly.
“Well, it’s not the Slytherins, they headed downstairs.” Said Brian.
“I bet they have potions now.” Amy said thoughtfully. “It was ridiculous what Snape did today, taking all those points for something spilled that we didn’t even use. I’m so sick of him.”
“Aren’t we all?” Molly said, glancing at Brian and Dan who nodded.
“We could shame him…” Brian suggested.
“Publicly…” Added Dan.
“In class…”
“At dinner…”
Amy grinned at the thought of Snape sitting in front of everyone at dinner and suddenly having his robes turned canary yellow.
“I suppose we could… But we would need to plan it well.” Molly said with mischievous grin.
“How about this weekend?” Dan suggested. “Then we can sit outside by the lake in peace and plan.”
“Sounds good to me.” Brian and Molly said together. Amy watched as they glanced at each other and blushed. Is there something going on? Amy wondered.
“Oh, darn, the bells about to ring!” Molly said with a note of urgency. Glancing at her watch Amy smiled, they still had four minutes to get to class.
“The Transfiguration room is right there Molly, no need to have a pixie.” Dan said.
“I don’t like being late.” Molly said, looking sheepish.
“Yea, yea…” Dan said as they walked into the room.
Fallowing Dan, they took seats by the back. Amy sat between Dan and Brian and surveyed the room. Professor McGonagall wasn’t there yet, but some other Ravenclaw students were. Also in the room was the infamous trio, Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
“So, we have Transfiguration with the Gryffindors…” Molly said softly, staring at Hermione. This is going to get interesting. Thought Amy with a glance at Hermione and Molly. -I hope you like it, for some reason I cant get into the swing of writing this fan fiction... Bleh.- |
