Amaris managed to write several notes in her parchment in a rather untidy scrawl. She smiled at the Professor and nodded. Charms was one of her favorite classes. It was also one of the few things she was actually good at. Care of Magical Creatures was the other one. Amaris had always had a love for magical creatures and nonmagical as well. Well, all except mice. Making a mental note to visit the animal hospital Professor Dainsie was in charge of Amaris patted her robes as if looking for something.
A humming sound was coming from the top of the Gryffindor girl's head. Ama smiled and took off her hat, pulling from inside it a lilac pigmy puff. She placed it on her desk as the little fur ball made noises showing his content state at being touched and handled.
"All right, Booger," she whispered and pulled out her wand. "I'm not going to hurt you. Don't worry."
Deciding that she would start with the easiest of Charms, the girl cleared her throat.
"Wingardium Leviosa," she muttered and did the proper wand movement by swishing her wrist from left to right and flicking once quickly.
Booger the pigmy puff began to levitate first a little shaky but then quite smoothly. Amaris let it hover for about three feet from her desk before slowly letting the creature down. Amaris quickly picked up Booger and stroked it, to make sure he wasn't too frightened of his latest experience. |
