Professor Fox looked up at the knock on his door. He was just putting books away when he heard the knock. He gave the door a surprised look and said a little cautiously, "Yes. Come in," thinking it odd that someone would be seeing him before classes had even begun. Perhaps it was the headmistress or one of his fellow faculty.
The door seemed to lighten significantly, as if a giant stone anchor were removed from it. It then opened slowly, revealing his office to the student.
