Poem of the Day:

The Dark Wave

The darkness comes.
A wave over the unknowing land.
Tearing houses as the wood is paper,
Breaking trees of old like dry twigs,
Destroying fields with an invisible flame,
Eating crops as if thousands of locusts descend for a meal,
Washing people away like a smear on glass,
Ripping away memories like pages from a book,
Taking away all life, leaving nothing but sadness.
A barren land, dark with death.
