Heavens Coming

October was drizzling its cool air
and many colors in a whirlwind of falling leaves down upon us
I swear I can still hear the finest of your whispers
humming melodies in my ears

I ran my hands across the top of the cold
smooth granite stone
longing for just one last glance of your face
your warm loving smile
the deep blue oceans in your eyes

I lift my own eyes away from yours
wishing I hadn't
as you faded away
and I traced the engravings with the tips of my fingers

I could feel the tears start to fall down my cheeks
watching them hit the ground
bringing life to the wilting once red roses

even after I ran as far as I could
these words were still etched on my heart
Heaven Came for her
and indeed it has.
