Ahhhh! Thanks! You're such a loyal reader! But yes, it was sad, and I nearly started crying as I wrote, but yeah. So here it is at last; the end of my story. Don't worry. There's a happy ending, and now it's time for you to find out what it is. So, i bid you all farewell as the last chapter gets posted, and I wish you all good luck with your own fanfics.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Epilogue 'Harry dear! C'mon! The party started already!' Hermione called her dear friend as he slipped on a T-shirt or two. He raced down the apartment staircase and into the living room and picked up Hermione with a twirling hug. 'Nice to see you.' he greeted his friends. 'I know it's been 10 years since I last saw you all, and first off, I'm extremely glad to introduce my wife, Diane.' He called to someone on the staircase, and a beautiful blonde-haired women stepped off the bottom step and over to Harry. She was wearing a long, golden, strapless, sparkling gown, made of satin and lace. Her hair was tied up in a bun, and she wore a tiara on her head. You couldn't see her shoes because of the dress covering her feet, but she was wearing high heels, making her an inch taller. She had a bounce to her step, and was as thin as can be. She stepped up to Harry and planted a kiss on his cheek. 'Hi!' she said happily. 'My name is Diane. And you must be Hermione and Ron. I've heard so much about you!' She gave Hermione a hug, and looked at her dress. 'Wow, this is beautiful!' she gushed. Hermione blushed and twirled around for them to see. She was wearing a blue strapless silk dress, blue shoes, and had her hair drawn back into a ponytail. She had grown her hair out over the years, and now it almost reached her waist. She wore white gloves that came past her elbows, and to top it all off, a gold diamond ring on her left hand to show her and Ron's marriage. Ron, on the other hand, wore a T-shirt himself. 'Thank you.' Hermione said. 'You're dress is beautiful too.' 'What about me?' came a voice from the front door. Draco and his wife Pansy walked in, waving. She was wearing an extremely tight and short red dress, and her short black hair had some blonde streaks in it. She was wearing red heels to match. Draco wore a simple T-shirt and pants like every other guy in the room. 'Draco! Pansy!' Hermione squealed. 'I haven't seen you two for so long!' She rushed over for a hug. Draco gave her a quick kiss on the cheek as Ron walked over with a drink in his hand. 'I know eh?' he said, holding out the glass. 'Want a beer?' 'Sure.' Ron handed the drink to him and he drank it down in a gulp. 'So, what've you guys been up to?' He refilled his glass and walked over to the couch and sat down with Ron and Harry. 'Nothin' much.' Harry replied. 'Just got back from California.' He handed a drink to Diane. 'Thanks sweetie.' she smiled. 'Nice place isn't it? Just moved in yesterday. Thank goodness magic speeds things up.' She laughed, and leaned back in the couch. 'Yeah.' Ron said. He walked over to the fireplace, where about 10 pictures were resting. He looked at each one, until his gaze stopped on a particular one. He picked it up and gazed into the moving picture behind the glass where 5 people stood outside Hogwarts, smiling happily, laughing, and waving. Ron chuckled and brought it over to the others. 'Hey guys, remember this?' He handed the picture to Hermione. 'Oh yeah!' She laughed. 'I remember this. Look at our hair! That's when Mr Malfoy over there dumped the picture of water over me and Kathy's head!' She laughed, then became quiet, as did the whole room. Diane looked around at everyone in turn, wondering who this girl was. 'Who's Kathy?' she asked. When no one answered, she got up and walked over to the mantle and examined every picture. They each had a girl, around age 13, laughing and hanging out with Ron, Hermione, Draco, and Harry. Except for one. Sometimes the girl would walk over to Harry and act completely immature by levitating him 10 feet in the air, mess up his hair, or just plain goof off. Sometimes she would hang out with Ron, and kiss him on the cheek now and then. She figured they were going out, but what about Draco and her in the next picture, where it appeared they were going out? And what about Harry? All these questions zoomed through Diane's mind, but everything stopped as she examined the one without the girl. Everyone was dressed in black, and their faces were tear-stained. Every second was filled with misery, and the girl was not there. 'Harry? Who was Kathy?' she asked. Harry expression changed, and he pulled his wife onto his lap. He breathed in, and spoke. 'Kathy was my sister, and we all miss her to this day. We lost her twice, and the days seem longer without her.' He sighed sadly. 'She was my best friend.' Hermione said. 'She was my girlfriend.' Ron said quietly, glancing over at Hermione. 'She almost was my girlfriend, but Weasley got her first.' Draco laughed, putting his arm around Pansy. 'And besides, after her, I started noticing someone else.' He looked to Hermione, who punched him in the shoulder. 'And when I noticed she was taken, I finally noticed Pansy.' 'Finally!' Pansy said happily. 'It took him 7 years! Can you believe that?' 'Yeah yeah we get it!' Draco said, calming her down. Pansy stopped bouncing, but continued smiling as she kissed her husband. 'Uh, just wondering, how did you lose Kathy twice?' Diane asked, placing the picture in her lap as she sat back down next to Harry and Hermione. 'Well, it all started about 12 years ago, when I went off to the Ministry of Magic, to save my godfather Sirius Black...' The End |
