I just love Sirius too. OMG. I am a very public and vocal Marauders lover and a Remus fan in particular, but in my heart Mr. Black is a very close, almost equal second. I just don't mention it much because I have felt as you do. That he is not dead, and I've been shot down many times when I say so. I have a real hard time accepting it, so I'm with ya Tina!

When we say that, we are referring to the 5 (soon to be 6) published books, the two HP school books and any question that JKR has confirmed an answer to in interviews. See the HP Lexicon website for a ton of good stuff. Unfortunately, all of the above sources state that Sirius is dead. Including JKR herself. I still want to think she's playing with us. *shrugs* She promised an explanation for Sirius' fate in the next books, so we'll see. We can imagine in the meantime though - right?
