Bethan already has her question prepared. She wants to know do spectacles protect you from the basilisk's stare, and if so why did Moaning Myrtle die?

Staff and classmates at St Joseph's School, Barnoldswick, nominated 11-year-old Bethan for the place, sending in a list of glowing tributes about her.

"Bethan reveals emeralds of imagination, ingots of intelligence, and surprisingly for one so young, tiny pearls of wisdom," was one comment made.

"To be forced into a locked room with the new Harry Potter book and to be asked to read it as quickly as possible is Bethan's idea of heaven," said her mum, Mrs Kathleen Roberts.
Bethan is also due to appear on the CBBC game show, 'Raven'. She is one of 18 young people who were chosen to take part in the programme from 10,000 applications. Filming will take place on Tuesday, but the programme is not due to be shown until December.
