J.K.Rowling has
donated a signed copy of '
Order of the Phoenix' for an auction at a charity fundraiser to support the
Swindon Therapy Centre for Multiple Sclerosis. The event will be held on April 29th.
Manager at the centre, Jackie Wray, said,
"I told JK Rowling about the auction and was very surprised to receive a signed book. We are very grateful for her support which we are sure will give a huge financial boost to the centre."
More information about the auction can be found
here.
Jo Rowling also recently
wrote a letter to
The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, a group which gives support and information to those who are carers for those suffering from Multiple Sclerosis.
Jo wrote,
"Having seen my mother suffer with MS, and the way it affected her life, I cannot imagine what it would have been like if I had been 12, and trying to look after her and possibly my siblings too. I'm really pleased that young people who are looking after someone with MS and other illnesses can get practical advice and support."
