Diego listened to each of his classmates' responses and answers. He thought some of the facts they shared with Professor Paton were interesting. He always felt a connection to bird-like creatures. Since he already know how protective they were, he felt confident that they'll understand him when he tried to approach them.
Afterward, he got up with the rest of the students following Professor Paton to where all the Hippogriffs were enjoying the day. He thought about going over to Hippie who seemed to have decided to relax on the ground watching Skippy from a distance. Diego waited until they made eye contact with him before he said, "Hello... I'm Diego. Very pleased to meet you." Before he bowed low like the Professor showed them, keeping his eye contact. He tried his best not to blink as they stared at him with curiosity. Now he just had to wait until they decided to bow back.. if he could keep his eyes open long enough.
