Okay, so he had to be quick. Jan thought over the spell and instructions as he stood behind the yellow line awaiting the pumpkin to come after. Boom! He barely has his wand out when the first pumpkin came at him.

"Impedimenta!" Jan drew a diagonal line, but the speed of the pumpkin made him flinch as the spell slowed it down partially... but he still had to duck as it flew past his head before sitting neatly behind him. Okay... Next one he'll get it.
