Baguette | there is no D in my name | TRAITORclaw | Queenie of Narnia The initial question on the board made Zephyr wonder if the lesson would be about lethifolds, and that excited him. Sure, they were kinda scary, if he thought about them for too long, but also this was a class, so he didn't expect to actually face one. And they were pretty interesting even with all that creep factor.
He was so focused on wondering what else would happen in the lesson and also thinking about how there were lots of spells that wouldn't work against a lethifold - levicorpus? incendio? protego? Why were lethifolds so resistant to everything? - and then also imagining what he would and would not do if he faced a lethifold, that he forgot to actually raise his hand to actually give an answer. When words started appearing on the board, the Ravenclaw finally shook himself out of his imagination and began writing in his notes.
Right, right, uh, focus on the lesson. Practice time. Great! "Im-PED-i-MEN-ta," he said to himself slowly, even though he felt like the word wasn't all that hard. But it was good to practice it anyway! Zephyr pronounced it slowly a couple more times before saying it all together, "Impedimenta!"
Sounded good to him.
Now for the wand movement... He moved his wand in a diagonal line motion, but whether it was five inches or not, he wasn't sure. His line was pretty short though, so it was probably fine. He figured he would know once they got to cast the spell.
