And he wanted to ask about what Maddox had found so far, but he also thought that would distract from their task now and maybe make it confusing trying to pay attention to different sets of stairs at the same time. So he bookmarked that in his mind for later.

"Guess we can focus on these next ones then," he said, glancing down at the one they were now on. "Wonder when this one will-"
