The guy liked that he could still surprise Bry. He knew he didn’t have to because she’d still love him even if he happened to be the most boring person on the planet but still… surprising her made him happier. The word she uttered at having been caught off guard made him laugh and that was something he was still doing as he continued to climb.
Ary could hear Bry actively pursuing him so he didn’t give up with his determination to get to the last platform before she did. But dear Merlin! Why were his arms beginning to ache already? No, he really couldn’t afford to focus on that; it would only slow his game down.
And so the Slytherin boy persevered on, also ignoring the thin line of sweat beading his forehead.
This was good news to her. Now they would have another place to hangout together. There was only one thing that Bry saw wrong with this... Ary thinking he could catch up with her on how often he choose to hang around this tree. Sorry, boyfriend but she would always have him beat on this one. As for her strength, she wasn't surprised that he knew. She did have a tendency of making that known from time to time.
That was for sure! This blonde had always had her eye on him. From day one, she knew that someday Ary would feel the same, and she was correct. Bry knew a lot of things about the boyfriend.. like how he was in no way, shape of form boring.
Consider her impressed! It would've shown on her face if she wasn't doing everything she could to beat Ary to the last platform. "Since when did you get so good at climbing?!" He was working his way climbing this tree rather quickly. Which meant for her.. that she needed to climb even faster. Once she got to where the much stronger branches were, this became easier to do. Swinging and leaving from one branch to a platform helped a great deal.
As much as she loves Ary.. and it was a whole ton, there wasn't anyway she was going to let him win!
