Maddox went over to the Slytherin table, and made sure to sit away from all the chattery ones. Which was hard because everyone was chatting to some degree, but he made sure it was a relatively quiet section. He was getting rather peckish and wanted some food, but none was on the table at the moment. Instead he closed his eyes and focused on keeping his mind quiet, both from his own thoughts and other people's. Jane had taught him a lot about meditation, and it was a good method when he was getting overwhelmed to close off his mind. He wished he could close off his ears, too, but alas, one could only do so much. |
