Maddox was born in France and was immediately put up for adoption. He showed signs of Legilimency from a young age, and was adopted by Jane Cerny, a skilled Legilimens who felt comfortable to raise him and train him in Legilimency and Occlumency. He moved with her to Cardiff when he was 2, and lived there with her ever since. Jane and Maddox are both odd ducks and get along very well, but keep to themselves for the most part. After going to primary school he received a letter of invitation from Hogwarts and started in 2115.
