~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Rafael was a mess.
It would have been helpful to have his husband here for moral support {for himself, not their son} but he understood that Dash was very busy currently. Diego understood too. Of course he did; that little guy was too wonderful not to. Then again, the eleven year old wasn’t that little anymore, not when he was about to secure his very first {and hopefully only} wand. Rafa sat heavily on one of the chairs, his gaze fixed on Diego who was being attended to by that tape. He recognised the look on the youngest Melo-Dreamer - a look that meant that Diego was resisting the urge to giggle. Excuse Rafa while he got misty eyed over seeing Di continuously happy and over the fact that he was growing up too quickly. “It’s not,’’ Vi reassured, grinning at the look on his bestie’s face. He decided not to remind Di that last year when he had gotten his own wand, he had accidentally caused an explosion and thick smoke when he had given the first one a wave. There was no need to make Di nervous or anxious, which was something Vi was aiming to protect the other guy from as he got started on his Hogwarts journey. “Watch out for that tape. It tries to measure some weird places.” Vi was always highly sus of the thing. “I’m just gonna head over there with your day. You got this, Di.” He patted his friend on the shoulder then headed over to Rafael. “Er… Mr. Melo-Dreamer?” Vi felt an inward burst of panic. Was the man going to end up sobbing on his shoulder or something? “You okay? You need a tissue?” |
