Only mere steps behind her it would've been so easy for him to beat her now. All he needed to do was quicken his strides. Simple as that. Yet Chris didn't. He kept a steady pace the entire time.. even when his adorably short girlfriend pushed herself to run faster.
Well would you look at that! Rea won. Coming to a stop beside her, the water lapping at his toes, Chris chuckled softly at the cuteness he saw. "You sure did. Have you been practicing?" His tone light and teasing but also, seriously, had she? She seemed faster today then usual. "Not at all Little Lady. You beat me fair and square." Chris smiled. "Shall we find a spot to lay out our towels?"
