"You could've reached out anytime and I would've responded but yes.. it may have been difficult to locate some of us. As for me though, I haven't gone very far." She was still in England. Being too far from her family just wasn't an option.
A hand was waved lightly in Quinn's direction, quietly dismissing any apologies. "It's quite alright, but thank you for explaining what all happened." She appreciated it all the same. Taking a small sip of her drink, Lia placed the cup down, extending her left hand across the table and wiggling her fingers. This of course made the ring on her finger very much visible. "Well for starters I'm married now... For a few years already." Marrying her best friend had been a dream come true.
"And I'm glad for that, too," Quinn said with a genuine smile.
"It's nice to know that I'll be able to see you around more." Quinn had met back with a couple old school friends and they were very glad Lia had been one of them.
"Do you keep in touch with anyone else from Hogwarts?"
Quinn took in the ring on Lia's finger, and their eyes widened.
"Oh my gosh, Lia! Congratulations—well, it might be a little late for congratulations, but you know what I mean," they laughed.
"Who's the lucky guy?"
