~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Oh yeah. Aunty Hady was right about that: it was not easy being patient, and Ary hated that. Normally as patient as a Hufflepuff, this feeling was so strange. But he was continuously focusing on thoughts of meeting the Qilins rather than that negative energy, and to his delight, it seemed to be working. Before long, the negative energy seemed to be dissipating. At least Bry seemed to be doing better than he was, Ary realised after giving her a glance.
But now that his excitement was back, he kept still as he possibly can. Except for his eyes; those were darting everywhere! At first, there seemed to be nothing to see but greenery and foliage but when the Qilins sniffed, the movement caught Ary’s eyes. He squinted and gave an inhale of delight when he spotted the pair. He watched the trotting and the prancing, wishing he could just join them. But since the little Qilin was making its way toward him… and then taking a bit of the luǒ hán guǒ from him. It was all the fourth year could do to hold himself back from cheering with sheer joy. Instead, he cautiously reached out a hand to pet the little creature on its head. |
