Their hair is long, down to their waist, fluffy and still the same shade of blonde as before. Their features are still soft, but they have much more of an adult edge to them now—high cheekbones, a more defined jaw but not deathly sharp. A bit more androgynous, more refined, but still quintessentially Quinn. They're wearing a cardigan they've knit themself, and one of their favorites at that: a marbling of different shades of purple yarn, oversized so it goes down to their mid thigh with big, dangly sleeves. Under it is a purple button down shirt with some lace frill, black pants and shiny black Mary Janes. They have glasses with circle lenses and a silver wire frame, and they don't really need them for anything besides reading but they like the way they look with certain outfits.
The weather wasn't so bad today, so Quinn decided to get out of the house on a little stroll. They've been back to Diagon Alley a few times in the month since they've been back, but mostly just to grab things for Auntie Caroline on their way to and from work. They're quite surprised they haven't run into anyone they know yet—or maybe they have, and they just didn't know it. Nine years is a long time away, after all, and they hadn't really kept track of...well, anyone, really. So they could've passed by anyone from their time at Hogwarts on the street and may not have known a thing.
Quinn peers into the window of Madam Malkin's, trying to see what robes they had in. Even though it's been a while, Quinn was glad to be back in the normalcy of British wizarding culture. The robes had a distinct homely familiarity that eased their heart in some way, even though they weren't much of a robe wearer themselves. Only on special occasions, really. The colors and patterns gave Quinn inspiration for their own knitting and sewing endeavors. And they just felt closer to home.
With her next fashion show slated to be held in early May, there was still much preparation to be completed. The good thing was all of her sketches were done and the designers of the fashion studio were working on bringing her bridal designs to life. Oh, and did she mention that she would be modelling a couple of her own pieces? She would be and she was excited!
Today, Aria happened to be in Diagon Alley in a somewhat sleep deprived manner. This state wasn’t uncommon as she was often pulling late nights whenever he projects were concerned. But what was her purpose for this little trip? To pick up materials that she - and the other designers - would require. It was better to stock up on them rather than run out and left scrambling to locate said materials.
Madam Malkins happened to be one of the places Aria needed to visit and she was approaching the shop when someone caught her attention. Was it just her or did the person look somewhat familiar? But at the same time, the young woman wasn’t even sure that she knew them? Maybe her mind was simply playing tricks on her. Yes, that would be logical since Aria needed to catch up on sleep.
So excuse her for narrowing her eyes as she came closer in an attempt to figure things out, and hopefully ease her confusion. |
