~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Exactly. ‘Vigorous’, as with all words, can be interpreted differently which was why Ary had asked for specifics in this case. So, the description provided by Adara was one he could work with; not to mention the visual represented helped a lot. “Thank you too, Professor.” Mentally huffing, he returned to the brewing.
Now that the mix was pink {and quite a lovely shade of it, he should mention}, the mandrakes were shaken and shaken until they resembled what Adara had mentioned and had shown. One of the bruised mandrakes was added to the mix and… there was that red shade! Ary grabbed the stirrer and began stirring clockwise. He lost track counting how many stirs it took but eventually, the contents changed into Dad Adi’s favourite colour - orange. The second mandrake was added and sometime shortly, it all turned yellow. Ary was super pleased with himself and his work so far. All he needed to do was to continue to focus properly and the potion would be brewed to perfection.
Back to stirring he went, this time counterclockwise. It only took about three minutes for the potion to turn green. Now, the final mandrake was placed into the cauldron which saw to the potion going to the required turquoise colour. Ary let the simmering take place, taking the free time on his hands to clean his workstation and the equipment he would have used. By the time he was done, a shade of purple from the cauldron was looking back at him. Next, 7g of powdered unicorns were placed into the cauldron until the mix was pink again. Then it was back to stirring, which took another three minutes of clockwise stirs to take the potion back to a red colour.
Finally, for now, everything in the cauldron was left to simmer. Slowly but surely, it began to revert to orange. |
