~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Surely Hart wasn’t the only one who felt the sparks whenever he and Daf so much as locked eyes. He let his gaze linger on that smile. Goodness! That boyfriend of his, without a doubt, knew how to melt his heart every moment. And certainly knew how to make him laugh too! “I reckon you’ll have a larger group than you expect. My aunt’s going to sign up first. You know that even with her love for cooking, she always finds some unnecessary utensils to add to her collection.” Maybe that sort of seriousness wasn’t Hart should be replying with to Daf’s humor but what could he say other than Daf still made his brain go foggy, making it difficult for him to think.
Unable to stop himself, Hartley stepped over to Dafydd to give him a soft kiss on the mouth. “We are and I look forward to it. We’re already a great team and we’ll just get better at it.” He was just as earnest as Dafydd was. “It really does. You’re the only person I ever saw myself doing this sort of thing with.”
Hartley was quick to shake his head. “No, let’s make something together. And even if you’re exhausted after tackling your utensils, I’ll make you something. Whatever you want.” Because Hart loved the man before him and would do anything for him. Funny, those sentiments, since he never had pegged himself for being the type to settle down. Not until he had fallen in love with Dafydd, that is. |
