Bathes in Maple Syrup | Dancing Lobster | Mrs. Charlie Weasley | Seneca's Beard | That's So Fetch Beauden couldn't help but grin as he stood up to grab one of the moleskin pouches from the box. He liked the idea of this lesson being more of a treasure hunt. He picked out his pouch, giving it a quick glance. He loved practical activities like this, especially ones that got him out and about, even if the stakes were just for a lost item or two.
He found a spot away from the rest of the group, taking out the photographs and clues within. The idea of working alone appealed to him; less distraction and more freedom to roam. (But if there were anyone who wanted to tag along, he wouldn't oppose.) Besides, the cool breeze and fresh air made this more fun than a typical Charms lesson.
Beauden focused, repeating the incantation in his head. "Obiectum Revelio," he whispered, running through the wand movement once more with his mind focused on the first photograph: one that featured little ducks. A flicker of white light followed his wand as he made his way toward the pond, keeping his eyes peeled for any signs of the object he was meant to find.
As he neared the duck pond, something caught his eye. The charm had picked up on something hidden in a bush nearby. "Gotcha," he murmured, his grin widening as he crouched down to investigate. Pushing aside the leaves, he spotted it—nestled among the branches was a bright blue squeaky rubber duck, of all things.
He reached in and grabbed the toy, giving it an experimental squeeze. It let out a satisfying squeak, causing him to let out a park of laughter before he placed the toy in his pouch and glanced at the next photograph.
