Hogwarts RPG Name: Giselle Barrington Slytherin Sixth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Teagan Kensington Slytherin First Year x5 x3
| Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict The boat ride had been interesting, although slightly more fraught considering Pluto hadn’t wanted to be left behind with the luggage and the other pets of students and she had found out firsthand that cats and water didn’t always mix. But the kitten had stayed tucked into her robe pocket in a small black fuzzy ball, so Teagan thought it was all okay. Not that she’d considered what it would be like grouped up with all the others needing Sorting when she discovered she was a little hungry. Odds were she should have eaten something on the train, but there were other things on her mind then. And now she was just hoping the whole Sorting thing wouldn’t take too long.
It was only when kids had started being called up to the stool and she realized it wasn’t an instantaneous thing that Tea had begun wishing she had her skateboard with her. That and that she’d asked Adair and her aunts and uncles what Sorting was like, considering mum had gone to Durmstrang and her actual dad had gone to Beauxbatons. Not that it would have occurred to her to ask when she was still ickle enough to have known her dad anyway. Part of her wished she’d been able to know what was going on, and the other part was at least grateful that her name wasn’t all the way at the end of the alphabet, even though Kensington was still further down than her old last name.
She had gone back to visualizing skateboarding tricks by the time her name was finally called. “Kensington, Teagan.”
Shaking her head to clear it from her usual distractions, the small brunette had walked up to the stool and sat down, blinking as the hat slipped over her eyes and wondering if this was what her kitten was experiencing in her robe pocket. The thought had broken off and gone into the unknown as a voice echoed in her head. I remember your family, but hmm, not quite. You’re new to the name, aren’t you?
She huffed out a breath in response, but the voice kept on talking as if it hadn’t really needed an answer. Rude, she thought, even as it kept droning on about things she already knew about herself. She knew she was loyal, and clever and all the other things it was apparently feeling the need to enumerate to her. She’d blinked again as it had revealed that it knew about her having her kitten in her pocket and how that was also something that needed to be considered. Thankfully it didn’t seem like the hat wanted to tell on her, though, so after a few more minutes she went back to thinking of her hypothetical skateboarding runs she wanted to try, and whether or not she thought they’d score well in competition. She didn’t need the hat to tell her about herself, after all. …ambitious, then…perhaps not as different as I thought…
The statement distracted her once again, only to find the hat wasn’t bothered by her distraction one bit. better be SLYTHERIN!
Apparently that was it. She had paid enough attention to the kids before her to know what that meant, even as the hat being removed from her head told her she was Sorted as well. She was a Slytherin, and somehow it made her a Kensington as well. Or something. The hat was confusing even if she’d felt like paying close attention to everything it had said, and she needed to move along own to the green table so the next person could be Sorted.
Having her skateboard would’ve made it quicker to get there. Oh well.
