~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Ary had quite zoned out as he sat at his House table. His only focus was the paperclips in his hands. Today’s creation? A tiny broomstick. No doubt one of his Quidditch-loving friends would appreciate receiving it. Speaking of one such friend… He was brought out of his deep concentration {not that he cared because… Jan!}. Ary looked up, his hands pausing in the task. “Hi, Jan!’’ Out of habit, he looked around for Idris. “Id didn’t come to say hi? Rude.” Ary was joking, of course. Idris was one of the nicest persons he knew. “Not a problem. I sure did. I missed your presence after you left. I think Artax misses you too. He seemed sort of forlorn after…” The mooncalf had one hundred percent taken a liking to Jan. “I’m beyond thrilled for you, by the way. Consider me one of your biggest cheerleaders.” Grinning, Ary nudged Jan. His friend was going to go far in the Quidditch world if he chose to pursue that career. The question was considered. “I don’t see why not. I mean, we’ve got capable staff to take care of the dragons and griffs. I’ll ask them for confirmation though.” There was a tilt of his head. “Is your mum planning something big?”
With the girlfriend’s arrival, it now meant that Ary had to begin dividing up his attention between her and Jan. And among anyone else who wanted to chat with him. “Hi, Bry.” Smiling, he shoulder bumped her back. He suspected Bry already knew that there would be plenty of time for hand holding in the very near future. “A firebolt. You okay so far?” He knew she had been very sad when some of her friends and family had graduated last term. And Logan wasn’t here anymore so…
He happened to glance towards the Hufflepuff table to ensure Dy was there and not making out somewhere with Tamara when he spotted Emma. The fourth year sent her a signature and enthusiastic finger wiggle-wave in her direction. She should definitely join the Slytherin table sometime! |
