The absolute swagger that Solomon exploded with as he walked through the great hall was just a ridiculous sight. Arm draped over his girl Sage still, they headed for their house table, everything still going swimmingly between them despite the interruption at the end of their train ride. Solomon wasn’t sure what to think about Anna walking in on him and Sage getting cosy. Aurora, too, Solomon had noticed in the background - he seemed to be more worried about what she would think about it, for some reason. It could be to do with their heart to heart last term that involved some difficult admissions on his behalf. Things he still thought about most days, that still mattered, despite his attitude right now. He felt bad for not keeping his best friends in the loop of this developing relationship between himself and Sage, but he hoped they’d be okay and happy for him.
Eyes lingering on her house table that he saw her perched at, Solly raised his free arm into a still wave towards her and a half smile. They didn’t even stop to say hello before. Solomon thought it was weird, and he’d be lying if he said it hadn’t bothered him. His arm dropped a little hastily the more he dwelled on it, and he tore his eyes away to focus on Sage and whatever they’d be doing for the rest of the day.
“Shall I compare thee to…” he paused and tapped his chin. “… the dark and dreary depths of the dungeons?”
Silly, unfunny sonnet jokes being made.
Solomon did his usual thing of ignoring everyone else at the Slytherin house table as he seated himself, making plenty of room for Sage beside him.
