The voice sounded familiar though he couldn’t place it. “Hi,’’ he said, not looking up immediately as he tried to get the badger’s head shaped in the appropriate manner. News flash, folks! It was a challenge. When Ary finally did look up, he understood why he had not placed the voice immediately: Yulietta didn’t often speak {at least not around him}. He knew what it was like to not speak often. “Hi, Yulieta! What did you think of your second year here?” The third year genuinely wanted to know because he would rather not fill his Housemate’s silences with his own opinions about her second year.

Spotting Solomon’s smile, Ary waved the half completed paperclip-badger at him in greeting. Even if Ary wanted to say something to the sixth year, there wasn’t much time since Solomon’s friend quickly engaged him in conversation. He instead turned his gaze to the Hufflepuff table, seeking out half of the pair of his twin sisters. But Ary couldn’t see Dynah. Maybe she was just running late. Mentally shrugging, he got back to his little project.

No, she didn't speak often. Mostly because of language barriers, but she was getting better at English. She was also trying to break out of her timid shell. Both very challenging tasks.

Tucking her hair behind her ear, Yulie prepared a response. She hasn't much interacted with other students. Her safe people were Alfie, Brooks and Phoebe. She did make new friends this year, though, but the level of comfort was different.

Ary gave her good vibes, though. She smiled shyly at him. "It was fun," she said slowly in her thick Spanish accent. "I read a lot of books and...I enjoy the lessons and the garden." The garden was her favorite, and despite herself, she was going to miss that spot the most. "How about you? How is it–was it?"
