She’d started the year with some glitter on her skin, so it felt only fitting that that’s how Vera planned on finishing the year as well. Made even more meaningful by the fact the flecks she had now on her cheek were her house colors and left behind by one of her very favorite people she’d met within these halls. It gave her a new confidence, and despite her sadness at leaving (mainly because her sister and now her younger brother would be returning still in September) she was also feeling… almost excited. The future brought some trepidation because there was still unknowns and conversations she had yet to properly have, but there was also so much possibility and excitement.


And she was choosing to focus on the former two.

Reaching the Gryffindor table, Ve slid into an open spot across from Kion and grinned brightly at him. Perhaps they had not started their journey’s at school particularly close, but she counted him as one of her dearest friends now between their triumphs together and how happy he made her Maria. He was also one of the most genuine people she’d known, so she counted herself lucky that they had likewise gotten close. “Congratulations on nearly being a graduate!” True they could probably be considered as much now but… technically they still had a night in the castle, didn’t they? “Any big and exciting plans for your summer before we fully are indoctrinated into the adult world?”

How strange was it that that was their reality now?
